‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is highly anticipated in the MCU lineup. Like many other films and shows, its development was affected by the SAG-AFTRA strike, but it’s back on track now.

There was an expectation of some delay, especially after ‘Captain America 4’ switched release dates with ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’. Now, it’s set to release on February 15, 2025, after nearly a year’s delay. However, it was later revealed that significant reshoots and rewrites were necessary due to poor initial test screening results.

Now, the Atlanta_filming Instagram account, known for sharing paparazzi and leaked content, has posted a picture of a baseball cap featuring the number 4. The caption reads: “This starts May 26th. Don’t ask… just think about it.”

The image clearly hints at ‘Captain America 4’ (Cap 4), suggesting that filming will resume on May 26, 2024, as indicated by the Atlanta_filming account and other unofficial sources. Earlier, we discussed rumors surrounding the initial test screening’s shortcomings. Allegedly, audiences were underwhelmed by action scenes that didn’t match up to those in previous ‘Captain America’ films. Additionally, there were reported issues with chemistry between Mackie and his co-lead/love interest. Furthermore, the political context of the movie was deemed dull and uninspiring.

Marvel Studios has brought Matthew Orton on board as a screenwriter for the reshoots. If these reshoots prove successful, we can anticipate the movie sticking to its February 2025 release date.

Details regarding the movie’s plot remain scarce. A leaked synopsis from the Copyright Office simply states, “Sam Wilson is the man with a plan.”
