The third season of Classroom of the Elite is finally starting, and we on Fiction Horizon will be covering the story for you as usual. Volume 8 of the light novel series is where this season starts, and fans of the original written work know that this means that the series is starting with the Mixed Training Camp event. This is another in a line of numerous special events held in the Advanced Nurturing High School, and since it is going to be the principal event at the start of the third season, we have decided to tell you all you need to know about it.

  • Article Breakdown:
  • The Mixed Training Camp event is a special event held from one Thursday to another during the winter semester in Classroom of the Elite.
  • The goal of the Mixed Training Camp was to test the students’ mental capabilities in light of a series of tests that will test their ability to cope with various everyday situations.
  • The Mixed Training Camp was a complex event, but it was not the most difficult special event held in the school.

The Mixed Training Camp event

As fans of Classroom of the Elite will know, the students are constantly subjected to a series of special events and tests that test their skills, abilities, and how they react in strange situations, both individually and amongst each other. If you’ve been around for the first two seasons, you’ll know that there were several such events, and the third season is – as you might have expected – going to start off with another such event, an event that is different from the ones we’ve seen so far. The event in question is the Mixed Training Camp, and in this section, we will tell you all you need to know about it.

The Mixed Training Camp is a special event whose primary goal is testing students’ mental skills and capacities. The event will offer them a series of daily life situations in which they will have to prove their worth and show the school that they can handle various issues that can arise in their everyday activities. The event will last for seven days and eight nights and is held outdoors; it will be held from one Thursday to the next during the winter semester. It is held in one of the mountains, inside a detached building that belongs to the Advanced Nurturing High School, and the students will arrive there by bus; the trip itself is about three hours long.

The detached building is actually two separate buildings located next to one another. The main building is for the boys, and the other one is for the girls. Although the buildings themselves are located next to each other, leaving the building is not allowed without explicit permission.

How difficult is the Mixed Training Camp?

The Mixed Training Camp event was not the most difficult special event in the series, but it had some special rules to be respected. The students were split by gender and then divided among each other based on the following limits:

  • For 60 boys in the same school year, 8-13.
  • For 70 boys in the same school year, 9-14.
  • For 80 boys in the same school year, 10-15

These were the upper and lower limits for each class, based on the numbers we gave you. Also, each group had to have students from at least two or more classes. Changing groups was not allowed, so if someone retreated due to sickness or injury, the group had to deal with the gap as best as possible.

The students had a daily schedule to adhere to, and on the final day, a comprehensive four-part exam was taken to determine the winners.

Who will get expelled at the end of the Mixed Training Camp?

The Mixed Training Camp was – surprisingly – an event that resulted in expulsion, which significantly raised the stakes and caused stress among students. Expulsion is a thing in Classroom of the Elite, and it is something that no student wants to see happen to them. As for the expulsions that happened, there were none during this event, but two were announced:

  • Ikari Momoko of 3-B was announced to be expelled because he led a small group that fell below the school’s average.
  • Akane Tachibana of 3-A, due to having joint responsibility for the failure of Ikari Momoko’s group.

And that is the whole story concerning the Mixed Training Camp. More details will be revealed as the season progresses. Have something to add? Let us know in the comments below!
