‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Trailer Easter Egg You Probably Missed Teases Possible Luke Cage Connection!

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ yesterday released its first trailer. The teaser trailer has revealed some interesting plot points and characters that we can expect in the upcoming first season. Muse will be the villain in the series. White Tiger will also make an appearance confirming the speculation that started with set leaks, and Bullseye will start the season in jail.
It appears that Matt Murdock and Kingpin will have some kind of an understanding but it will presumably fall through. The show connects to Ms. Marvel surprisingly by showcasing Yusuf Khan, the father of Kamala Khan. We can also see that Matt and Frank are reunited – also something that set footage has already confirmed.
While we are bracing for what appears to be a rather dark and twisted continuation to the Netflix series, some easter eggs spotted in the trailer might hint at some further connections to the Defenders Saga that previously aired on Netflix.
Around the 0:28 mark in the trailer Times Square can be seen and one of the billboards showcased is directly referencing Harlem’s Paradise.
Harlem’s Paradise is a nightclub started by Buggy Stokes and Quincy McIver. It was used by the Stokes Crime Family for illegal activities and money laundering. After Buggy died, Mama Mabel took over the club and later passed it to Cornell Stokes.
When Cornell was murdered by his cousin Mariah Dillard, she ran the club until her death, after which she left it to Luke Cage.
This is a pretty notable connection to Cage, and considering that Defenders are now canon to the MCU, who knows, we might even see a cameo appearance.
Marvel TV exec Brad Winderbaum stated that fans are in for some surprises, teasing that some characters from the Defenders Saga might make a surprise appearance in ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ There are also some pretty loud rumors that the success of ‘Born Again’ might lead to the ‘Heroes for Hire’ TV Series.
Mike Colter also recently confirmed that he would be willing to reprise his role as Luke Cage if the story is good enough, he also said that now is the prime time to revive his character taking into account politics and the fact that ‘Born Again’ is once again reigniting hype.
