Although The Marvels didn’t do well at the box office, it set the stage for one of Marvel Comics’ most popular teams – the Young Avengers.
At the end of the movie, Kamala Khan meets Kate Bishop to talk about teaming up and mentions Cassie Lang, who recently became the superhero Stature after helping her dad, Ant-Man, defeat Kang the Conqueror in the Quantum Realm.
When the film came out, there were rumors about a possible Young Avengers project, but nothing was confirmed by the studio.
Now, it looks like the project might be getting closer to happening, as an interesting team-up was teased at the Worlds of Marvel Experience.
Worlds of Marvel, which first launched on Disney Wish in 2022, is a Marvel-themed dining experience with interactive shows featuring Marvel stars. Ahead of the Disney Treasure’s launch on December 21, Disney shared a sneak peek of the second Worlds of Marvel, including a post-credits scene with the Young Avengers.
During a preview of the Disney Treasure cruise, the new Worlds of Marvel restaurant revealed a never-before-seen scene featuring three young MCU heroines who could join the Young Avengers.
In the clip, Tony Stark’s AI assistant FRIDAY introduces the “youngest heroes,” including America Chavez, Cassie Lang, and Riri Williams.
Cassie Lang made her mark in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and is now officially Stature in the MCU. America Chavez made a spectacular debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Riri Williams will star in her own show, Ironheart, coming in 2025.
While some expected faces are missing, Kamala Khan, who started the initiative, will also be part of the team, along with Kate Bishop and Wiccan.
