Élodie Yung’s Elektra Reportedly Set for a Comeback in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’

For many older fans, Jennifer Garner is the live-action Elektra they remember, even if her solo movie wasn’t great. But when Netflix was running the Daredevil show, Élodie Yung won fans over as the young assassin and Daredevil’s love interest.

With Daredevil getting a revival, fans have been wondering if Élodie Yung might return. According to a rumor from the Beyond Reporter, Yung may have filmed scenes for Daredevil: Born Again, possibly for episodes 6 or 7. However, since the series was completely revamped, a lot of content might have been cut, so the rumor isn’t certain.

Élodie Yung recently spoke about the possibility of returning to her role as Elektra, saying she’d love to come back and that many fans keep asking her about it. She added that playing Elektra was incredibly fun.

Oh my god, I would love that! My fans are like “Can you come back?” I’m like, ask Mr. Marvel. You have to ask Mr. Marvel… I would gladly replay this part, are you kidding? She’s so much fun!

In the original Netflix show, Elektra is believed to have died in the destruction of Midland Circle, but since her body was never found and she has a history of coming back to life, her return isn’t impossible. She could also appear in flashback scenes.

While this rumor doesn’t confirm anything, Marvel Studios exec Brad Winderbaum hinted that Defenders characters like Colleen Wing could return if the right opportunity comes up. Plus, fans of the Netflix shows can expect some exciting surprises with Daredevil: Born Again on the way.

It’s all one shared universe, so you never know where characters are going to pop up next. It’s a huge opportunity to have officially folded those stories into our canon. Whether or not they were always part of the canon, it’s now official, and we can play with those toys in our toy box. There are surprises around the band that I won’t get into, but for fans of the Netflix shows, we’ve got a very exciting show on the horizon in Daredevil: Born Again.
