Character Information: Alma Madrigal, also called “Abuela” (which means grandmother), is the matriarch of the Madrigal family and is the one in charge of controlling the family’s magic through the miracle candle. Character Information: Pedro “Abuelo” Madrigal was the husband of Alma and was the patriarch of the Madrigal family before he passed away at the young age of 26, about 50 years before the events of Encanto.
