For nearly a year, there have been persistent rumors that Taylor Swift would appear in the film as Lady Deadpool. Several factors fueled these rumors: Swift’s close friendships with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, and Reynolds’ frequent references to her in promotional materials.

Reynolds and Levy had multiple chances to dispel the rumors but instead fueled them with their cryptic comments and evasive answers, likely because the movie benefits from the extra buzz. A few weeks ago, it was officially announced that Swift would not be in the film, but that news was overshadowed by the release of the recent trailer.

The trailer’s depiction of a character with blond hair led fans to reconsider the earlier denial of Swift as Lady Deadpool, especially after an old photo of Swift in a Deadpool costume resurfaced.

On Reddit, fans shared a photo of Swift in a Deadpool costume, which is actually a throwback to her 2016 Halloween cosplay, not a leaked image from an upcoming movie.

Reports indicate that Swift’s costume was the genuine outfit from the first Deadpool film, likely because she and the main actor are close friends. Despite this, the photo has reignited rumors about her potential role.

Realistically, Blake Lively or even Ryan Reynolds himself is a more likely candidate for Lady Deadpool. We should get confirmation soon.
