Taylor Swift Officially Not Appearing in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is one of the most anticipated upcoming MCU movies for several reasons. It promises numerous cameos and variants, marks Deadpool’s entry into the MCU, and brings Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine. There’s also speculation it will lead into ‘Secret Wars,’ though that’s still uncertain.

One of the most persistent rumors is that Taylor Swift will appear as Dazzler. This rumor has been around for at least a year, supported by notable insiders. It seems plausible given Ryan Reynolds’ fandom of Swift and Blake Lively’s close friendship with her.

There were plenty of hints that Swift might appear as either Dazzler or Lady Deadpool, a female variant of Deadpool. These hints included song references and rumors fueled by Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, who wore friendship bracelets popularized by Swift’s latest tour.

Even Shawn Levy, the director of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ avoided directly addressing the rumors. However, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Swift will not be appearing in the latest ‘Deadpool’ installment.

No explanation was given, but it seems unnecessary. Fans can still look forward to more than 20 other cameos and variants, some rumored and some confirmed, making the list a bit smaller but still exciting.

Recently, a teaser for the movie was released for Best Friends Day, showing a character that looks like Lady Deadpool. Since Taylor Swift is ruled out, people are speculating about who it could be. The main rumor now is that it’s Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds’ wife.
