‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Will Reportedly Reveal a Key Similarity Between Galactus and America Chavez
Now that ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ has been released, fans can look forward to next year’s major project, ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps.’ Initially, it was uncertain whether Galactus would appear in the movie, but this was confirmed with Ralph Ineson’s casting in the role.
At this year’s SDCC, the first footage of the movie was shown, and it concluded with a comic-accurate Galactus peeking through the windows of a high-rise building.
Several theories have emerged about Galactus’ role in the upcoming movie, with speculation suggesting he will be responsible for the destruction of the alternate reality in which the film is set. Recent rumors, however, indicate that Galactus will also share a significant trait with America Chavez, who was introduced in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’
Given that we are currently in the Multiversal Saga of the MCU, it’s not surprising that alternate realities and variants are a major focus. America Chavez is unique because there is only one “variant” of her across all realities. According to the latest podcast from Cosmic Circus, Galactus will share this characteristic as well.
Galactus will be a unique individual, but it’s unclear how this will impact his powers and future in the MCU. We know that Chavez’s innate powers, stemming from her unique physiology, allowed her to initially hold her own against the Chaos Magic-empowered Scarlet Witch, although she was eventually overpowered. Chavez’s ability to channel inter-dimensional energies through her body may be a trait Galactus also possesses.
