Fast X is currently in production, and a lot of known stars are returning for the tenth installment of the franchise, as well as some newcomers like Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, and Alan Ritchson. Now, Deadline confirmed that Scott Eastwood, who joined the franchise in the eighth installment, will return in the upcoming movie after being absent from the last year’s ninth installment.
Eastwood played the role of Little Nobody, an associate to Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody in The Fate of the Furious. He was a newbie government agent and covert operative who worked strictly by the rules, which wouldn’t usually be the best way. He’s also a skilled driver, which was proved in some car chasing scenes in the movie.
Louis Leterrier, director of Transporter 2, Now You See Me, and The Incredible Hulk, was hired to direct after Justin Lin stepped down due to disagreements with the franchise’s lead star and producer Vin Diesel. Lin remained on the project as co-writer and producer.
Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Michael Rooker, Scott Eastwood, and Charlize Theron are reprising their roles from previous movies in the franchise, while Jason Momoa, Daniela Melchior, Brie Larson, and Alan Ritchson joined as newcomers.
Fast X is the first part of the planned two-part finale of the franchise, it is set to be released on May 19, 2023.
