Feige Reveals When The Filming For ‘Fantastic Four’ Will Begin
At this year’s CinemaCon, Marvel Studios had a big presentation. They showed clips from ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ and ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ and mentioned a few other projects briefly. Kevin Feige confirmed that ‘Thunderbolts*’ had officially changed its name and revealed the new logo for the movie, but he hinted that there’s more to discuss about the asterisk later on.
Even though ‘Fantastic Four’ has been a hot topic lately, especially with Julia Garner’s casting as a female Silver Surfer, the project got only a brief mention. Feige confirmed that the movie will be shot in IMAX and revealed that filming starts in two months, confirming many rumors.
The project faced several delays because of the SAG-AFTRA strike, but the cast was finalized relatively recently. Pedro Pascal will play Reed Richards, while Vanessa Kirby will portray Sue Storm. Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn are set to play The Thing and the Human Torch, respectively.
The movie will be set in an alternate past reality. Reports suggest that the team will already be established as celebrities in their world until a catastrophe forces them to seek help in the main MCU reality.
There’s speculation about Franklin Richards making an appearance in the film, being born in space and having a special connection to Galactus.
‘Fantastic Four’ is set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025. Got something to share? Drop it in the comments below!
