First Poster For ‘Thor: Love and Thunder‘, Featuring First Look At Jane Foster As Mighty Thor, Leaked

Although the entire Marvel fanbase is now concentrated on the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home this Friday, let’s not forget there are other things that fans can look forward to next year. One of those things in Thor: Love and Thunder, the fourth installment of the Thor saga set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Love and Thunder marks Chris Hemsworth’s Thor as the first Marvel character who will get a fourth solo movie. The movie recently wrapped production and director Taika Waititi is overlooking the post-production now so that movie can be ready for release next summer.

Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, Thor left Earth with Guardians of the Galaxy, a team that will also show up in this movie before moving on to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The movie was officially announced in July 2019, and the biggest announcement was that Natalie Portman will return as Jane Foster, and not just that, but her character will become Mighty Thor. The return of Mjølnir, Thor’s famous weapon was also announced. Let’s remember, the original Mjølnir was destroyed by Hela in Thor: Ragnarok, and Mjølnir that Thor and Cap used in Endgame was returned back to its time after Thanos’ defeat.

Taika Waititi, director of Thor: Ragnarok, returned to helm Love and Thunder, and the first concept art poster was revealed now on Twitter. You can check it out below:

Although it isn’t the best look, it’s the best one we have for now. The poster is showing us Thor’s new costume, some returning characters like Valkyrie and Korg, and the first look at Jane Foster as Mighty Thor. From what we can see, her suit will be pretty comic accurate, and that’s always a good thing. Now we’re just waiting for the first look at the main villain Gorr, the God Butcher, portrayed by The Dark Knight star Christian Bale.

Thor: Love and Thunder is starring Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, and Vin Diesel. Directed by Taika Waititi, the movie is set to hit theaters on July 8, 2022.
