Fresh Trailer for ‘Suicide Squad Isekai’ Dropped, the Show to Release Later This Year

“Suicide Squad Isekai” is an upcoming anime series based on DC Comics’ Suicide Squad team, set in an alternate world. Produced by Wit Studio and presented by Warner Bros. Japan, the series is directed by Eri Osada, with the series composition and screenplay handled by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara, respectively. Character design is by Naoto Hosoda, based on a draft by manga artist Akira Amano, and Kenichiro Suehiro provides the music.
Scheduled for a 2024 premiere, the opening theme, “Another World,” will be performed by Tomoyasu Hotei. Crunchyroll recently unveiled a new character list and the voice actors bringing famous and original DC characters to life. Today, the third trailer for the highly-anticipated anime series has been released, which you can watch through the link below.
The current cast members set to appear in the anime include: Taku Yashiro as Rick Flag, Chika Anzai as Katana, Kujira as Amanda Waller, Reina Ueda as Fione, Mamiko Noto as Aldora, and Jun Fukushima as Cecil.
The show’s synopsis reveals it’s set in Gotham City, where Amanda Waller, leader of A.R.G.U.S., assembles a team of infamous criminals like Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark for a perilous mission. They’re transported to a fantastical otherworldly realm through a gate, facing orcs, dragons, and magic in a true Isekai adventure. With explosive implants in their necks, failure isn’t an option, as it means certain death. Harley Quinn and her team must navigate the dangerous Isekai realm.
