Gina Carano Joins The Biopic About President Biden’s Son
Actress and former MMA fighter Gina Carano joined the movie My Son Hunter, directed by Robert Davi. This is her first project ever since she was fired from the Star Wars Disney+ series The Mandalorian in which she played a Rebel shock trooper and a mercenary Cara Dune.
She was a part of MMA between 2006 and 2009, she had eight fights and won seven of them. She later turned to acting in 2009. Her first bigger movie was the 2013 movie Fast & Furious 6, where she played Riley Hicks, and in 2016 she starred in Deadpool as Angel Dust. She filmed a few minor films meanwhile (Haywire, In The Blood, Kickboxer: Vengeance) before she was cast in The Mandalorian in December 2018. Earlier this year, she was fired from the show after a series of controversial social media posts.
Now, Deadline reported that she will soon return in front of the camera. According to the report, she will star in the movie My Son Hunter which will tell the story about Hunter Biden, son of US president Joe Biden. The movie will focus on his business career and party lifestyle after he earned tens of millions of dollars from companies owned by Chinese, Ukrainian and Russian tycoons.
Carano will play secret service agent. Producer Phelim McAleer described her role like this:
“She is a world-weary secret service agent present at most of the Biden family’s dodgy dealings. She provides a voice of truth and Sardonic comedy over the absurd dealings of the Biden family and various Chinese, Russian, and Ukrainian oligarchs. She is present throughout the film – commenting and sometimes narrating the absurd life and party lifestyle of Hunter Biden and the dodgy dealings of his father.”
The movie is currently filming in Serbia, with Robert Davi serving as the director.
