GTA Online: Weekly Prize Ride Challenge (Full Guide)
Although the classic Story Mode in Grand Theft Auto is famous for its incredible content, the introduction of GTA Online has opened up a whole new world of entertainment for fans. With so many updates and events, fans definitely have their work cut out for themselves – but many are still eager to find out exactly how to “place Top 3 for 3 days in a row” to complete the esteemed Prize Ride Challenge.
Prize Ride Challenge in GTA Online
Rockstar Games was proud to announce the launch of the Prize Ride Challenge for GTA Online players back in 2022, so the event has been going on for quite some time. This is a weekly event, with different stakes each round, and fans have only become increasingly eager to participate since the event’s launch.
The event involves new tasks and new rewards each and every week, meaning that players only have one week in order to finish each task. Otherwise, the player will need to wait for the next week to have a chance at a different prize.
Weekly Tasks & Rewards
Although the Prize Ride Challenge has gained notoriety among fans who try to “place Top 3 for 3 days in a row”, there are far more tasks that the event comprises. Players may encounter this particular task during any of the weeks, although the task is always different – topped with a different reward vehicle which usually has a value of under $1,000,000.
Rockstar Games provides players with a short description of the task required to complete the event for the week, alongside a snippet describing the vehicle up for grabs. Players will need to complete tasks within the Street Race Series, LS Car Meet Series, or the Pursuit Race Series, and the duration of the challenge can last anywhere between two and five days with the player’s ranking ranging between Top 1 and Top 5 as required.
Below is an overview of the weekly challenges and rewards that have been included in the Prize Ride Challenge for 2023 so far.

The most recent round of the Prize Ride Challenge, rewarding the Obey 8F Drafter with a Twin White Stripes livery customization, would have run for exactly 7 days from the 13th of April. This means that the current weekly event reward is only available up until the 20th of April, after which a new challenge and a new reward will replace it.
How to Complete the Prize Ride Challenge Each Week
Many fans have found that the short and vague task descriptions given by Rockstar Games can be misleading to a degree. What’s important to note is that the tasks given cannot simply be completed in one day – they need to be followed to the tee for the player’s progress to be counted towards the Prize Ride Challenge. This means that only one “Top 1, Top 3, or Top 5” outcome will be logged daily, and players will need to spend multiple days trying to win the relative reward.
Each day’s tasks will reset at 00:00 UTC, meaning that players do not have to wait the full 24 hours in between their daily races. The vehicle that’s up for grabs will be on display on the back of a Slamtruck in the Car Meet, and it will only be available up until 10:00 a.m. GMT, 5:00 a.m. ET, or 2:00 a.m. PT on the closing date – after which Rockstar Games will reset the Prize Ride Challenge tasks and relative reward for the next week via an update.
Issues Claiming Prize Ride Challenge Rewards
It must be mentioned that a handful of known bugs may interfere with the player’s progress during the Prize Ride Challenge. For the most part, players have found that their daily races may not always be accounted for, which can be extremely frustrating for those who do well in their races and really want to win the specific vehicle chosen for that week’s prize.
While it’s great to know that players may still complete the given challenge due to their being an excess number of days, these bugs and glitches can still cause problems at the worst of times. Players may sometimes find that their week’s progress is not accounted for at all.
Although this bug may reset along with the following week’s update, there is no known way to resolve this issue by yourself during the weekly event. It’s always advised to contact Rockstar Games directly in the event that you experience any issues trying to complete the Prize Ride Challenge or encounter problems when trying to claim the relative rewards.
That’s everything there is to know about how to get through the Prize Ride Challenge in GTA Online, with images and stats thanks to the GTA Wiki. Although it may be challenging to complete these tasks in time, especially considering the range of bugs encountered by many fans, you’ll be pleased to know that players still have another chance to win an incredible vehicle each week.
