Hope Van Dyne’s ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Easter Egg Confirms Rumors About Her MCU Future!

The first trailer for ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ dropped yesterday, giving us a sneak peek at the upcoming season’s plot and characters. Muse will be the main villain, and White Tiger’s appearance confirms earlier set leaks. Bullseye is also shown starting the season in prison.
It seems like Matt Murdock and Kingpin will have a temporary agreement, but it likely won’t last. The show also ties into ‘Ms. Marvel’ with the appearance of Yusuf Khan, Kamala Khan’s father. Additionally, Matt and Frank are reunited, which was hinted at in previous set footage.
While the trailer suggests a darker continuation of the Netflix series, plenty of references and easter eggs were put in the trailer to showcase how much the show is now part of the MCU as well.
We’ve already analyzed the Pingo Doce ad and what it could mean for the Hulk family in the upcoming show, and now we’re going to focus on one easter egg that was rumored weeks ago.
Around the 0:28 mark in the trailer, a shot of Times Square can be observed with plenty of ads doting the place. There’s an ad for Harlem’s Paradise, Pingo Doce and across the street, a pretty large ad for Pym van Dyne Foundation can be seen:
A few weeks ago, Alex Perez, a notable industry insider, stated that Hope van Dyne doesn’t have a big future in the MCU as things stand now. He mentioned that the character is briefly mentioned in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ and is currently running the Pym Van Dyne Foundation, but there are no major plans for her character at the moment.
The same is true for Hank and Janet, as their planned storylines were never fully developed. Perez also clarified that ‘Ant-Man 4’ wasn’t exactly canceled, but rather, it never got far enough in development to be officially greenlit. He did mention that the use of the Pym Particle will be explored in future films.
Considering that Evangeline Lilly announced her retirement shortly after ‘Quantumania’ was released, it’s likely that this is the only “mention” of the character we will have in ‘Born Again.’
