Here is one little-known fact about Dracula: he is not only the Prince of Darkness, but he is also a father. Trying to protect his daughter Mavis, Dracula invents stories of various dangers to distract her from her adventurous spirit.
As a paradise for Mavis, he opens the Hotel Transylvania, where his daughter and some of the world’s most famous monsters – Frankenstein and his bride, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, a pack of werewolves and others – can enjoy peace and security.
It is no problem for Dracula to host all these legendary monsters… But that whole world could be destroyed after an ordinary young man comes across a hotel and casts an eye on Mavis.
Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015)
For the Hotel Transylvania, it seems that things have finally started to get better … Dracula’s hotel, which from the beginning accepted only monsters as its guests, is now open to people as well. But what bothers our favorite Dracula the most now is his serious concern that his adorable grandson (who is actually half-human and half-vampire) is not showing signs of a real vampire.
While Mavis is visiting Johnny’s parents where a real culture shock awaits her, Dracula begs for help from his friends Frank, Murray, Wayne and Griffin to go through “vampire training” with his grandson Dennis. However, none of them are aware of the fact that Dracula’s old and very, very, very, very, very old-fashioned father Vlad is coming for a family visit to the hotel.
And when Vlad finds out that his great-grandson is not of pure-blooded vampire blood – and that even people are now allowed to stay in the Hotel Transylvania – things will become very … bat-like!
Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (2018)
The monsters have a fantastic time on the cruiser, enjoying all the facilities that the cruiser offers, from various sports activities to phenomenal and delicious food to exotic excursions. But the vacation turns into a nightmare when Mavis realizes that Dracula has fallen for the charm of the mysterious Captain Ericka who hides a dangerous secret that could destroy all the monsters.
Hotel Transylvania: Transformania (2022)
Mavis hears Dracula planning to retire and leave the hotel to her and Johnny. However, Dracula lies to Johnny and tells him that only monsters can own the hotel, which disappoints him. Van Helsing helps Johnny to turn into a monster, but accidentally turns Dracula and his friends into humans. They go to South America to find a new crystal to turn themselves back into monsters.
Along the way, they confront Van Helsing and learn that humans who become monsters continue to mutate and become more hostile. Dracula and Johnny begin to bond, but when the rest of the group finds them, Dracula admits to lying about the monster real-estate law and not passing over the hotel to Mavis and Johnny. Johnny mutates further and runs away.
Mavis finds Johnny, but he is very volatile due to the transformation. They find the crystal, but Mavis cannot turn Johnny back to normal. In desperation, Dracula lets himself get captured by Johnny and admits his mistake, finally acknowledging Johnny as family. This brings Johnny back to his senses, and he is returned to human form.
Returning home, they find the hotel destroyed by Gigi, but they eventually rebuild it to their liking. One year later, Dracula enjoys the re-built Hotel Transylvania.
