TMZ reports that actor Ethan Jamieson, known for his role in “The Hunger Games,” has been arrested in North Carolina on serious assault charges. The report says he is accused of using a 9mm semi-automatic handgun during an alleged attack involving three men in Raleigh.

Court documents cited by TMZ state that the incident happened on March 23. The alleged victims are listed under initials E.F., J.M., and K.W. The charges include three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and intent to kill. Police in Raleigh are handling the case.

Jamieson played the District 4 male tribute in the 2012 “Hunger Games” film. He was part of the early group of actors who appeared in the franchise alongside stars like Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth.

This is not the first time Jamieson has had legal trouble. According to TMZ and other outlets referencing court records, he was also arrested in 2025 for allegedly resisting a public officer. He was later sentenced for that offense.

Before his arrest, Jamieson had a short acting career. He appeared in a guest role on “One Tree Hill” in 2009, then worked on smaller film and TV projects, including “The Rusty Bucket Kids: Lincoln, Journey to 16” and a later appearance in the series “Justified.”

In past interviews, Jamieson spoke about his experience filming “The Hunger Games.” He said, “I knew that the books were popular, but I didn’t know that the movie was going to be so big.” He also talked about the set atmosphere, saying, “There are a lot of good things [about production], but pulling pranks on each other was pretty fun.”

Jamieson also shared at the time that he did not plan to stay in acting long term and preferred a more normal life away from Hollywood attention.

The arrest has brought renewed attention to his past career and earlier interviews. TMZ is the main source reporting the current charges, based on court documents and police records.

This is a serious situation and it will now move through the legal system, where more details may come out later. At this point, the case is still developing and no final outcome has been reported.
