Inosuke vs Bakugo: Who Would Win and Why?
Inosuke Hashibara and Katsuki Bakugo are, in a lot of ways, similar. They are both a bit on the odd side, they have anger management issues, they want to be the very best fighters and they constantly seek new challenges. The different? The former is a character from the Demon Slayer franchise, while the latter comes from the world of My Hero Academia. Despite the challenges of doing it, we have decided to make a comparison between the two and determine which one is stronger.
Katsuki Bakugo should be able to defeat Inosuke Hashibara in a direct fight. Although their powers and abilities are difficult to compare due to the intrinsic differences between the worlds of Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia, it is obvious that Bakugo’s destructive potential is much more powerful than anything Inosuke has to offer, which is why the young hero would defeat the masked demon slayer.
Now that you have the short version of the answer, the rest of the article is going to be divided into three sections, with the first two introducing the characters, their powers, and their abilities. In the end, we’re going to give our final verdict and explanation on why Bakuko would ultimately be able to defeat Inosuke in a direct fight.
Inosuhe Hashibara and his powers
Inosuke Hashibira is a demon slayer and traveling companion of Tanjiro Kamado. He is one of the main characters in Demon Slayer. His trademarks are his boar’s head mask and the fact that he fights with to katana. He is the master of the Beast Breathing Style.
Overall
Inosuke is a very good fighter as he is able to match Tanjiro and even surpass him with his flexibility and his unconventional fighting style which looks like “four legs of a beast” because of the way his punches come from. such a low angle while being very fierce and incorporating other unorthodox moves, making it unpredictable and vicious.
Inosuke is an enormously fast individual, as seen when he ran through the Tsuzumi Mansion at super speed, dodging the Horned Demon’s attacks at the last second. In doing so, he demonstrated his honed reflexes and speed of movement. A few months later, his speed and reflexes improved further, allowing him to fend off Daki’s sentient Obi Sash and protect those trapped inside, and later managed to take on the Upper Rank himself.
Through his hard training as a demon slayer, Insouke has developed great endurance and stamina, which he has demonstrated on many occasions. Along with Zenitsu, Inosuke was able to keep up with an awakened Daki and held on long enough to cut off her head, despite suffering several injuries. In addition, Inosuke played a crucial role in the defeat of the upper rank, despite being stabbed in the chest and infected with a deadly poison.
Breathing Style
Inosuke has shown exemplary skill in the dual wielding of his Nichirin Blade, allowing him to confront and defeat demons on various occasions, even allowing him to match the members of the Twelve Demon Moons. Approaching the Infinity Castle arc, Inosuke has undeniably honed his swordsmanship skills to the level of a Hashira, allowing him to follow and take on the Upper Moon Two, Doma.
Breast Breathing is a completely original Breathing Style. A style of breath distantly derived from Wind’s Breath and the personal creation of Inosuke Hashibira himself after living in the mountains and fighting for its survival. He also seems to draw inspiration from the boars he grew up with. The forms we know exist are:

Katsuko Bakugo and his powers
Katsuki Bakugo is a student of Yuei High School, Year 1-A, and Izuku Midoriya’s rival. His dream is to become the most powerful of heroes to dethrone All Might.
Overall
Katsuki proved to be one of the strongest students in class 1-A, getting 3rd place in the Quirk Evaluation Test, while also placing first in the Yuei Entrance Exam, having the more battle points, and also to the Yuei Sports Championship. Katsuki’s fighting style is all-out offensive, using his Quirk’s propulsive abilities to close the distance between him and his opponents, followed by a bombardment of point-blank attacks that often start with a powerful right hook.
Katsuki is able to use his Explosion to propel himself through the air, blinding opponents, and unleashing long-range blasts, among other applications. Explosion is a versatile Quirk, especially for combat situations, as the recoil caused by explosions can be exploited by Katsuki for mobility purposes.
During the SCA Incident Katsuki was able to overpower and immobilize Kurogiri, a very skilled villain, on his own. At the Sports Championship, he managed to defeat Fumikage Tokoyami and Shoto Todoroki, who were considered the other two strongest students in Class 1-A at that time. Many notable pro heroes, such as Shota Aizawa and All Might, have praised Katsuki’s prowess, noting the amount of potential he carries.
The League of Villains also took note of Katsuki’s strength and went so far as to kidnap him so he could be converted to their cause, even if it meant sacrificing members of the Vanguard Action Squad as his membership. potential would have far outweighed the risk.
Quirk
Katsuki’s Quirk allows him to secrete nitroglycerin-like sweat into the palms of his hands and ignite it on command, allowing him to create loud explosions. The more Katsuki sweats, the louder his explosions become. If Katsuki abuses this power, his forearms will start to hurt. Katsuki is very good at applying his Quirk, as stated by Best Jeanist.
Not only can Katsuki use the explosions to attack, but he can also use them to propel himself and navigate through the air at high speed, allowing him to fly towards his opponents without giving them time to react, and evade attacks. incoming attacks, even while flying. The shock wave of an explosion can even serve as a shield.
Katsuki can continue his blasts continuously, long enough to pierce Eijiro’s Hardening and destroy Shoto’s “Giant Ice Wall” for a short time before being overwhelmed. As part of his training, Katsuki submerged his hands in boiling water to expand his sweat glands, then created chain explosions to increase the magnitude of his attacks.
Inosuke vs Katsuko: Who would win?
And now for the most important and interesting section of our article – the analysis. Here, we are going to use what we have found out about these two characters and analyze how all these facts would (or would not) help them in a fight against each other. Let us continue.
If you’ve read our text properly, you’ve certainly noticed the essential differences between these two characters and how these differences actually influence this comparison. Due to the fact that one is a classic samurai-type swordsman and the other an actual superhero, we had a really difficult job to compare them properly. Still, we think that our conclusion will reflect the work we have put into this comparison.
Namely, Inosuke Hashibara is a fairly solid fighter and is in the upper half when the Demon Slayer characters and their powers are concerned. He is not the strongest, but he is far from being the weakest. He is very determined, he constantly keeps working to become better and is always in search for a new challenge. This is what makes him such a formidable opponent.
On the other hand, Katsuki is – pretty much the same, really. He is determined, he wants to be the very best and he seeks new challenges every day. The difference? Where Inosuke fights with his two katana and his Breathing Style, Katsuki has actual superpowers and is, in that aspect, superior to Inosuke. Sure, Inosuke wouldn’t give up and he’d put up a great fight, but what can a man with a sword to against a walking explosion? Very little.
Inosuke does have peak endurance and flexibility, but he is not superhuman in any way, whereas Katsuki is in the most literal sense imaginable. That is why we ultimately had Bakugo as the winner of this clash.
