Will Season 5 Be Cole Hauser’s Last Season?

“No, no, no, no,” Cole Hauser said. “Personally, just for me, if you’re asking me, I like to go to work and actually live and grow with the character and not know the end at all, you know. I want to be able to find those moments and live really in those moments whether it’s with Beth, whether it’s with John.”

In that regard, Cole Hauser wants to keep playing the role of Rip Wheeler for as long as possible, and that means that he himself doesn’t intend to leave Yellowstone. But the problem is that that isn’t always something he has a choice with because of the fact that it will still be up to the show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan, to decide what to do with Cole Hauser and Rip Wheeler.

It may be possible that he will continue to be a part of the series past season 5 if there will be a sixth season for Yellowstone. That’s something we will only know after season 5 finally premieres as we get to see Rip’s ultimate fate in the story. And if he manages to live through the fifth season, he should make a return for season 6 if Sheridan gets the green light for it.
