Is Diablo: Immortal on Switch? & 5 Great Alternatives

One of the most popular action RPG franchises in the world recently got a new installment. Diablo: Immortal is set in the world of Sanctuary, approximately 5 years after the events of Diablo II. Tyrael is “dead”, worldstone is shattered, and demons are trying to use it to power up rapidly.  Like with every new release, fans of Diablo Immortal have a lot of questions. Specifically, what platforms is Diablo: Immortal available on? Can you play Diablo: Immortal on Switch?

Diablo: Immortal is currently not available on the Nintendo Switch. It’s available only on Android/iOS and PC (open beta). There is currently no release date for Diablo: Immortal on Switch.

Is Diablo: Immortal available on Switch and When will it be?

Initially, Diablo Immortal was only supposed to come out on Android and iOS systems. Diablo: Immortal was designed to be a mobile game first and foremost. After a pretty serious backlash from Diablo fans, Blizzard made a decision to release the game on PC. While Android and iOS version of the game is released fully and stable, the PC version is still technically in open beta. The PC version was also almost completely ported from the mobile versions.  As for the switch, Blizzard never confirmed that Diablo: Immortal will ever get a Switch version. If there is a plan for such a release, it was never discussed by Blizzard officially. Currently only Diablo Games on Nintendo Switch are Diablo II: Resurrected and Diablo III: Eternal.

It has dragons, a Viking-ish setting, a battle of good vs. evil, civil war, and otherworldly demonic figures offering you artifacts in exchange for various services (good and bad). Skyrim is famous for its leveling system since it gives you near-absolute freedom to customize your skills (and weapons) the way you want to without being bound by generic classes. One way to describe Skyrim is a perfect open-world adventure for just about anybody.

3. Dark Souls – Remastered

Our next game is as famous as Skyrim, but much more brutal, even more so on Nintendo Switch. Dark Souls puts great emphasis on exploration and learning the story (and lore) through items, brief interactions, and hidden not-so-obvious cues placed throught the environment. It’s also a perfect chance to discover the depth of your patience, This game will make you absolutely paranoid – even when nothing is happening on-screen, especially when nothing is happening on-screen.

4. Diablo III: Eternal Collection

Is there a better alternative to Diablo Immortal than…Diablo III? Diablo III was a „port done right“ type of game.  It offers a smooth experience, controls are functional and well integrated. If you are familiar with the Diablo Franchize you will not be surprised by the amount of repetition the games have. If you like hacking, slashing, and looting. Diablo III is a perfect game for you. It has co-op mode so you can play with your friends too!

5. Torchlight II

One more action RPG on this list. The main feature of Torchlight is probably it’s randomly generated dungeons which can be repetitive but offer hundreds of hours of fun. The main emphasis of the game is put on looting and action, encountering and slaying various types of monsters. It also has a unique art style and offers an overall well-polished and well-balanced experience. So you should definitely try this one out.
