Is the MCU’s ‘Vision’ Setting Up Ultron as the Main Villain in ‘Armor Wars’? (Could the West Coast Avengers Make an Appearance?)

The MCU has a packed lineup of upcoming projects, spanning both movies and Disney+ series. Recent updates about the MCU’s ‘Vision’ show, which will focus on White Vision, reveal that James Spader is set to reprise his role as Ultron.

Additionally, there’s a chance that Scarlet Witch may also appear. While ‘Vision’ is confirmed to be part of a ‘WandaVision’ trilogy, which includes ‘Agatha All Along,’ there are hints that it could also tie into other future projects, particularly ‘Armor Wars.’

The return of Ultron is a significant development, given his status as one of the MCU’s most menacing villains, and it could spark interest in ‘Armor Wars,’ a project that has so far received little fan attention.

Currently, there’s no direct link between ‘Vision’ and ‘Armor Wars,’ aside from the fact that both Vision and Rhodey have been members of the West Coast Avengers, a team rumored to be featured in both series, the movie and the upcoming ‘Wonder Man.’

We don’t yet know the specifics of ‘Armor Wars,’ but a direct adaptation of the comic storyline seems unlikely due to Tony Stark’s death. In the original story, Stark discovers that his Iron Man technology has been stolen and misused by villains, leading him to battle against his own creations and confront his deepest fears.

War Machine is expected to take Stark’s place, and if the storyline is adapted, he may reclaim the stolen tech and potentially encounter Ultron, Stark’s most feared creation.

However, these details remain speculative, as little is known about the film besides the recent update that Riri Williams, aka Ironheart, will be featured. No release date has been announced yet.
