Is “The Teen” in Agatha All Along Wanda’s or Agatha’s Son?

Agatha All Along has premiered with its first two episodes, delivering exactly what fans anticipated from the marketing. The show fully embraces its campy charm, blending witchcraft, pop culture references, and humor with ease. It offers a solid foundation that keeps viewers engaged and speculating whether Agatha might be on a Loki-style redemption journey.

Within these first episodes, several mysteries are teased, including the true identity of Joe Locke’s character, The Teen.

The leading theory is that The Teen is actually Billy Kaplan, also known as Billy Maximoff or Wiccan from the comics. This theory is supported by subtitles from one of the show’s teasers.

The main issue with this theory is that Billy was supposed to be dead, as both he and his brother disintegrated when Wanda made peace with Vision’s death. The show might resolve this by suggesting that Scarlet Witch’s spell, initially intended to trap Agatha, inadvertently brought him back to life. Alternatively, The Teen could be seeking to walk the Witches’ Road to gain life or become real, reminiscent of a Wizard of Oz-style quest, and then rescue his mother.

The show is clearly working to keep his identity under wraps, with a dark spell obscuring details about his past from everyone, including the audience.

A second, less supported theory is that The Teen is Agatha’s son. In one scene, Agatha, before regaining her memories, visits a room decorated with occult imagery and sees the name “Nicholas Scratch.”

In the comics, Nicholas is Agatha’s son with a troubled history. Both were part of New Salem, a secretive town of witches and warlocks where Agatha was the original leader. Nicholas’s name, derived from “Old Nick” and “Mr. Scratch,” alludes to the Devil.

Nicholas betrayed Agatha after she left New Salem for a normal life. He led a group that nearly executed her, but Agatha was rescued and New Salem turned against Nicholas, who was eventually exiled to the Dark Realm. There, he served Dormammu and later allied with Mephisto, Marvel’s version of the Devil. There are rumors that Mephisto may appear in Agatha All Along, with hints that Blackheart could also be involved.

However, this theory seems less likely since Agatha’s son is probably her pet rabbit, Senor Scratchy, who has been prominently featured in the first two episodes despite being “just a pet.”
