Jon Bernthal Hints at a Return to His Memorable Role With the Phrase: “One Batch, Two Batch, Penny, and Dime”
The upcoming show “Daredevil: Born Again” is getting a lot of attention, both because fans are really excited and because it’s had some problems during production, like strikes and disagreements over the direction of the show.
It’s still a bit of a mystery how much this new show will link to the Daredevil series on Netflix, and not much is known about the story. What we do know is Daredevil starts a new law firm, will fight a villain named Muse, and Wilson Fisk is trying to become mayor. A few characters from the Netflix series, like Foggy played by Elden Henson and Karen played by Deborah Ann Woll, were seen on set, so it looks like they’re coming back. For a while, people weren’t sure if Jon Bernthal’s Punisher would make a comeback because of all the secrecy around the show and Bernthal’s mixed messages.
But then, a video popped up of him on the “Daredevil: Born Again” set fighting someone who might be the White Tiger, another character confirmed for the show.
Recently, Bernthal posted a photo on Instagram of a children’s book called “One Batch, Two Batch,” hinting that he might be returning to his role.
The book mentioned, “One Batch, Two Batch,” doesn’t actually exist; it was made up for the “Daredevil” series. The phrase “One batch, two batch, penny and a dime” is something Frank Castle often says, connecting deeply to his lost family and shedding light on his transformation into the character he is now.
This pretty much confirms that Bernthal has something more planned for us, and we can’t wait to see what’s next. Got thoughts? Drop them in the comments below!
