After the release of ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,’ the superhero community was shocked by allegations against Jonathan Majors, known for his roles as Victor Timely in ‘Loki’ Season 1 and as Kang the Conqueror in ‘Quantumania,’ a significant villain in the Multiversal Saga.

Majors’ career took a hit following his arrest in March 2023 over allegations of assaulting a woman believed to be his girlfriend. He faced job losses from various projects, resignation from his management and PR team, and removal from several commercials featuring him.

Despite maintaining his innocence, Majors faced public scrutiny, exacerbated by the release of text messages between him and the alleged victim by his legal team.

In December, after the guilty verdict, Disney terminated its contract with Majors, leading to various changes within the franchise. With his departure, ‘Avengers: Kang Dynasty’ is no longer titled as such, and there are rumors of finding a replacement for Majors.

Now, more than three months after the guilty verdict, Majors faces another lawsuit from his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, as reported by Variety. Jabbari filed a lawsuit against Majors in a New York federal court, alleging assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, malicious prosecution, and defamation. The defamation claim arose from comments Majors made in a ‘Good Morning America’ interview after his conviction, denying harming a woman physically. During the trial, Majors’ attorney accused Jabbari of lying about her injuries from the March 2023 incident.

The lawsuit details two incidents involving Majors in 2022, alleging physical abuse and threats. In Los Angeles, Majors allegedly shoved Jabbari into a shower door, causing injury, and later threw objects in a frenzied state. In London, he purportedly bruised her, threw her against a car, and choked her while threatening to kill her. The lawsuit also includes text messages where Majors discouraged Jabbari from seeking medical help and threatened suicide. Although these incidents were discussed during the December 2023 trial, the text messages were not used as evidence for the March 2023 altercation. Majors is scheduled for sentencing next month for his December 2023 conviction.
