Lucasfilm Officially Developing a New Star Wars Animated Series

Lucasfilm has numerous new projects lined up for the Star Wars franchise, including at least two live-action movies and the eagerly awaited release of ‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.’ The animated side of the franchise is also getting attention. ‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ recently concluded its latest season, and a new season of ‘Young Jedi Adventures’ is on the horizon. Additionally, a new animated project is reportedly in development.

The news wasn’t announced officially by Lucasfilm but was revealed through a job posting on their official site.

Lucasfilm is seeking a Shot Production Coordinator. This role involves assisting Associate Production Managers in managing Animation and Lighting department records and processes from pre-production through post-production for an animated TV series.

Fans quickly began speculating about the nature of the project. Some guessed it might be another season of “Tales of the Jedi/Empire,” which, while exciting for many, might disappoint a significant portion of the fanbase.

Others expressed their desire for a “What If…?” series set in the Star Wars universe, similar to the successful MCU series.
