My Hero Academia is, in many ways, a special manga and anime, mostly because it focuses on traditional Western comic book tropes while giving them a traditional Japanese touch. Now, this article will focus on one particular character from the My Hero Academia world, as we will talk about Eijiro Kirishima, also known as Sturdy Hero: Red Riot. A fan-favorite, Eijiro Kirishima is currently a hot topic for My Hero Academia fans as his fate is up in the air after the clash against All for One. In this article, we are going to tell you what happened to him and whether he is still alive in the series.

  • Article Breakdown:
  • Eijiro Kirishima is a secondary character from My Hero Academia, better known under his superhero nickname: Sturdy Hero: Red Riot. He is one of the most important and popular characters in the series.
  • Sturdy Hero: Red Riot fought All for One during the Final War Arc, alongside some allies, but all of them failed to win and were left lying on the ground, beaten and injured, with their fates up in the air.
  • As things stand now, though, it is unlikely that Eijiro Kirishima is dead and despite the fact that he has not been seen for a while in the manga, it wouldn’t make much sense for such an important character to die so easily.

He fought All for One and was defeated as of Chapter 385, but he is probably still alive

In case you’re new to the series or need a reminder, Eijiro Kirishima is a secondary protagonist of the My Hero Academia manga and anime, a cheerful and optimistic student of the academy, and a member of Class 1-A. He is better known as Sturdy Hero: Red Riot. He has spiky red hair, and sharp teeth and is generally known for being one of the most popular characters in the series. This is not the first time we’re writing about him here on Fiction Horizon.

After this brief reminder about who Kirishima is, let us skip to the ongoing Final War Arc, in which Eijiro definitely played his part. Now, we won’t be dealing with his whole story during this arc, but will focus on the important fight against All for One. Namely, Eijiro was one of the heroes who had to face the horrible villain and he did it, initially, while riding on Gigantomachia’s back; Gigantomachia had been brainwashed by Hitoshi earlier, so he became a temporary ally of the heroes.

But, while All for One managed to free Gigantomachia from the effect of Hitoshi’s Quirk, Gigantomachia remained furious with All for One for abandoning him and he attacked him, with Eijiro and the others joining in. All for One was seriously outnumbered and it seemed as if the heroes would stand some chance, but as you might expect – it did not turn out like that.

MHA: Who Does Kirishima Have a Crush On?

All for One upped all of his Quirks to the max and he was able to efficiently attack all of his opponents almost at once. Mt. Lady, Gigantomachia, and Dark Shadow ended up being decimated, while all the others ended up down on the ground. After the dust settled down, we saw that all of them were heavily injured, beaten, and/or bleeding, as All for One simply blasted off from the battlefield. Eijiro was among these beaten heroes and this is the last we saw of him since Chapter 385, which is when this happened.

Due to him not appearing in the latest chapters, many fans have begun to worry about the character’s ultimate fate. Could he be dead? Does the fact that we haven’t seen him mean that he is actually dead? Well, as far as the last question is concerned – probably not. Namely, although it’s been a while since we’ve actually seen him, the manga’s timeline is such that the current chapters are not as far into the future as you might think. This is due to the structure and parallel storylines of the current arc.

But, even if this weren’t true, the likelihood of Kirishima being dead at this time is very small. He is an important character and while he did lose to All for One, he is probably not dead. This just isn’t something that often happens in manga and anime, so we don’t really see him dying at this point. We cannot predict what the author has in store for him, but as far as the current timeline is concerned, it is unlikely that he is dead.
