New Fan Theory Reveals the Extent of Agatha’s Darkness – She May Have Sacrificed Her Own Son
When Kathryn Hahn first brought Agatha to life in ‘WandaVision,’ fans were captivated by her performance and the extremes Agatha was willing to reach for power.
While her character was often presented with humor, if the latest fan theory holds true, the MCU could take Agatha down a far darker and more sinister path.
In the comics, Agatha Harkness has never been depicted as purely evil; instead, she embodies a morally ambiguous character. She has fought alongside the Fantastic Four and the Avengers, even serving as the nanny for Franklin Richards, the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm, which indicates that superheroes have trusted her.
However, as I mentioned earlier, the latest theory suggests that Agatha may not be trustworthy, even to her own family. In the first episode, while Agatha is still disguised as Agnes, she is seen entering a room in her Westview home that resembles a child’s room.
On a plaque, the name Nicholas Scratch can be seen. In the comics, Nicholas is Agatha’s son, and their relationship is fraught with tension, with both attempting to kill each other at various points, primarily due to Nicholas’s outright evil nature.
The theory posits that Agatha sacrificed Nicholas in the MCU to obtain the Darkhold, and one significant clue is the sight of the Darkhold appearing in what looks like a child’s crib.
There’s also that highly antagonistic exchange between Aubrey Plaza’s Rio Vidal and Agatha. Plaza has hinted at a tumultuous history between the two characters, suggesting that Rio and Agatha may have raised Nicholas together until Agatha chose power over their relationship.
Additionally, it’s conceivable that Agatha accidentally transformed her son into her pet rabbit, Senor Scratchy, which could lead to significant regret on her part.
