New ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ Teaser Reveals a Better Look at Knull, the King in Black
With less than two weeks until the release of Venom: The Last Dance, anticipation is building. From the trailers and teasers we’ve seen so far, it looks like Eddie and Venom will need to join forces to confront the greatest threat the SSU has faced yet.
The planet is set to be invaded by Xenophages, and it seems this invasion is imminent, potentially orchestrated by one of Marvel’s most terrifying villains—Knull.
Knull was confirmed to appear in the movie about a month ago. Details about his role remain limited, primarily based on rumors and speculation. Reportedly portrayed by Andy Serkis, Knull is expected to have a minor cameo—Eddie and Venom won’t even interact with him throughout the film.
The trailer didn’t reveal much about Knull, featuring only a few carefully selected shots. However, the latest teaser released on X provides a clearer glimpse of the King in Black:
Knull is shown with his signature white hair, set against comic-accurate backdrops. However, it’s concerning that all promotional material featuring Knull relies on the same 2-3 shots we’ve mostly seen in the trailer.
This leads me to believe these clips might be taken from a post-credit scene, which would align with the rumors suggesting that Knull’s role in Venom 3 is merely a cameo.
Nonetheless, even if Knull has a minor part in this film, many industry insiders are suggesting he will crossover into the MCU, potentially serving as the main villain in the upcoming Spider-Man 4. So there’s definitely something to look forward to!
