Ridiculousness is coming to an end after 14 years and 46 seasons. The long-running comedy clip show, hosted by Rob Dyrdek, will continue airing previously filmed episodes into 2026, but no new episodes will be produced.

Season 46 will mark the final installment of the series, though reruns will remain on MTV and some seasons will stream on Paramount+.

A source familiar with the decision told TMZ that the network, now under the Paramount umbrella, is looking to offer “a more curated slate of content” that highlights “different creative voices” and embraces “its experimental DNA.”

It’s unclear exactly what changes this will bring to MTV’s lineup, including how heavily the network relied on Ridiculousness in its schedule.

With over 1,700 episodes, Ridiculousness is one of MTV’s longest-running series. The show has dominated the network’s programming for years, often filling more than 100 hours a week of MTV’s 168-hour schedule.

The series, which started in August 2011, features viral videos of failed stunts and pranks, with Dyrdek and co-hosts providing comedic commentary. Past co-hosts included Chanel West Coast and Lauren “Lolo” Wood.

The show’s cancellation comes shortly after Bloomberg reported that Dyrdek was earning at least $32.5 million annually, which included bonuses, executive producer fees of $21,000 per episode, and an escalating $61,000 per episode for on-camera work. With hundreds of episodes produced each year, these payments added up significantly.

Industry observers note that ending Ridiculousness marks a major shift for MTV as the network restructures following Paramount’s $8 billion merger with Skydance. The show’s long run and heavy presence in the schedule made it a symbol of MTV’s move away from original music content toward clip-based programming.
