One Piece: Who is Ginny/Jinny? New Character Explained!

The official translation of Chapter 1,095 of One Piece is going to come out this week, but leaks and raw scans are available, so we actually do know what is going to happen in the series at this moment. The chapter is definitely going to be packed with new content, especially since Oda has included several – no, numerous – flashback scenes that tell us about Kuma’s past, about Garland, but also about God Valley and, as it seems, a young Emporio Ivankov, before he actually became the famous character we know.

The raw scans seem to indicate that Ivankov, who looked much the same as a boy, was a slave at the time. But, what is more interesting than Ivankov is the female character seen in his company in the final panel of the chapter. She was introduced as Ginny or Jinny, depending on how the translators decide to transcribe it, and here is what we know about her.

She is a small, skinny girl with short hair and is seemingly a slave, like Ivankov. She is seen eating a piece of meat and has a smile on her face. She points her finger at a young Ivankov and asks: “Isn’t my big bro here huge too!?” This is an unofficial translation, so we’ll have to wait for the official text to confirm it, but the raw scans so far confirm that Ginny is actually Ivankov’s younger sister. And that is all we know at the moment.
