Overlord Light Novel Volume 16: Release Date, Preview, Spoilers & More
An unlikely hit, Overlord has become one of the most talked-about works in the otaku community. Overlord first began as a novel series back in 2010 and has since expanded to include an ongoing light novel and manga series, as well as an anime, which has now entered its fourth season. There is also an OVA episode, an ONA series, and a two-part movie. In this article, we are going to focus on the Overlord light novel, as we are going to tell you all about the upcoming Volume 16 of the series, which is set to be released on July 29, 2022.
Overlord Volume 16 release date
Light novel volumes usually don’t have a fixed release schedule and are released according to the author’s writing schedule. Sometimes, it’s once a year, sometimes it’s once every two years, but in this case, we’re getting two volumes in two months. The first part of this two-parter was released on June 30, 2022, and the second part, i.e., Volume 16 of the Overlord light novel is going to be released on July 29, 2022 in Japan.
The English edition of this same volume is going to be released at an as-of-yet undetermined time in the future; we’ll update the article as soon as we get a confirmation.
Overlord Volume 16 plot
The official publisher’s summary of Volume 16 reveals the following about the plot:
“Even fierce warriors are in awe when they see the majesty of Nazarick! Ainz and the twins stay in the dark elf village and continue to interact with the villagers. But the Theocracy has finally just begun to attack the elf country. Ainz, who had a plan, started to act.”
As for the chapters, the volume will probably have three or four chapters, as is usual for a light novel. We know that it is going to be 360 pages long and we’re going to update this section as soon as we get an official chapter list. The plot is, of course, going to be a continuation of the plot from Volume 15, as this is a two-part storyline.
Overlord Volume 16 spoilers
Overlord Volume 16 is going to be published on July 29, 2022, as we have said on numerous occasions in this article. As for the spoilers, they usually appear around a week before the publication of a work, so it’s still too early for us to have any official or unofficial spoilers for Volume 16. We do know that the plot of Volume 15 is going to be continued, as Volume 16 is going to be the second part of the story.
Where to read Overlord Volume 16?
The only place where you can read Overlord on a regular basis is Yen Press’s official site, which offers the latest volumes in English. Yen Press is the official American publisher of Overlord, which is why it offers the series regularly, but the chapters are published after the Japanese originals. A Yen Press subscription is a good thing because the chapters are updated regularly, but you also get access to a lot of other series as well.
