Overlord

Overlord is a Japanese light novel series written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by so-bin. Overlord was adapted into manga and anime series, with the film adaptation being announced in 2022. The story of Overlord takes place in 2138, DMMORPG called YGGDRASIL  is shutting down its servers. Momonga a guild leader of a once famous guild stays to mourn the game by waiting for the server shut down in-game. Instead of being greeted by a connection issues screen due to servers being shut down, Momonga is transported to the game’s world where NPCs as well as various dangers that lurk in the world of Yggdrasil, have come to life.
