‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Season 3 Unveils New Images, and the Titan’s Curse Is Looking Brutal
Demigods everywhere have spent the past several months piecing together clues about where ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians‘ goes next, and each new detail has only raised the stakes further. Between a shocking season two finale twist and a cast that keeps growing, Disney+’s adaptation of Rick Riordan’s beloved book series has built serious momentum heading into its next chapter.
That momentum shows no signs of slowing down. The show has already confirmed it will finally tackle ‘The Titan’s Curse,’ the third novel in Riordan’s series, bringing fan-favorite characters like Thalia Grace, Nico di Angelo, and Bianca di Angelo more fully into the fold as the war with the Titans inches closer.
Now fans have something fresh to dig into. New images from ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ season three, sourced from Entertainment Weekly, have surfaced showing Percy Jackson gripping a sword in what looks like a tense, high-stakes moment, with the season set to premiere November 20 on Disney+.
The new season picks up after a major twist in the season two finale, where Thalia Grace was revealed to be alive after Zeus secretly transformed her into a tree in anger rather than as an act of protection. That revelation sets up a complicated reunion between Thalia and Percy, both of whom are potential subjects of the Great Prophecy that could determine the fate of Olympus.
Executive producer Craig Silverstein described that tension as central to the new episodes, telling Entertainment Weekly that the relationship between Percy and Thalia is the “central dynamic” of the season, largely because neither knows for certain which of them the prophecy refers to. Star Walker Scobell echoed that sentiment, calling the pairing complicated since the two characters “fill the same spot in a team in a way,” constantly clashing even as they’re forced to work together.

That friction plays out against a backdrop the creative team is describing as noticeably darker than anything the series has attempted before. Scobell called the new season “definitely our darkest season yet,” while Silverstein didn’t mince words about what’s coming, warning that after season two introduced more blood, season three brings something heavier: “People are dying, and the stakes just keep dialing up, and getting more real.”

Season three will introduce several new characters pulled straight from Riordan’s source material, including Nico and Bianca di Angelo, played by Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie respectively. Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry also join the cast this season, expanding the world of Camp Half-Blood as Percy’s group takes on new threats.

Returning cast members include Walker Scobell as Percy, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth, Aryan Simhadri as Grover, Charlie Bushnell as Luke, and Tamara Smart as Thalia, alongside Daniel Diemer as Tyson. According to the season’s official episode list, the eight-episode run kicks off with a rescue mission gone wrong and builds toward a finale that finds the gods themselves debating how to handle the growing crisis.

With danger mounting on every front and a mission that will pull Annabeth into serious peril, this new footage suggests ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ is fully embracing the emotional weight that made ‘The Titan’s Curse’ such a pivotal turning point for readers. Whether the show can match the book’s heartbreak while still delivering the fun, mythology-packed adventure fans love remains to be seen when the season finally arrives.
