Fans noticed that Sebastian Stan’s character, Bucky, was missing from recent set photos. Insiders clarified that Stan’s absence is because his scenes haven’t been filmed yet. Last week, Florence shared a video on her private Instagram, giving fans a tour of the set. It was rumored that a scene in the vault, where Sentry is discovered, was being filmed.
Reports suggest that Bucky won’t be part of the team initially but might join later in the movie.
The development of ‘Thunderbolts*’ has faced challenges, including the SAG-AFTRA strike. Additionally, months before shooting was scheduled, Steven Yeun dropped out of his role as Sentry, leading the studio to recast the role. Lewis Pullman emerged as the top choice to replace him, with rumors later confirmed by the studio.
Laurence Fishburne and Rachel Weisz are returning to play their roles as Bill Foster and Melina Vostokoff in the MCU. Geraldine Viswanathan has joined the cast as de Fontaine’s assistant due to a scheduling issue that caused another actor to leave. The movie’s release date was changed to May 2, 2025, swapping with The Fantastic Four. Joanna Calo has been assigned to rewrite the script, with previous versions emphasizing the team’s risky mission, possibly leading to their demise.
