Rumors: Major Role Anticipated for Blade in ‘Marvel Zombies’ Linked With Moon Knight

During Disney+ Day 2021, it was announced that a Marvel Zombies animated TV series was in the works for Disney+, with Zeb Wells onboard as the writer and executive producer. This series follows the universe introduced in the ‘What If…?’ episode titled ‘What If… Zombies!?’. At San Diego Comic-Con 2022, it was revealed that the series would be rated TV-MA and would debut in 2024, with Zeb Wells confirming in an interview on October 8, 2022, that the first season would comprise four episodes. On November 28, 2023, Iman Vellani confirmed her role as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in the series. Recent rumors suggest that Blade may have a significant role in the show, possibly taking over as the Fist of Khonshu, replacing Moon Knight.

We know that Marvel Zombies will feature zombified heroes, as hinted in the finale of ‘What If…?’ Season 2 with Zombie Scarlet Witch. There are reports of Moon Knight’s appearance, but it’s unclear why he’s no longer the Fist of Khonshu and why Blade replaces him. With a TV-MA rating, ‘Marvel Zombies’ might show Moon Knight in a more graphic manner, unlike his previous appearances. The series, set to release in 2024 with four episodes, isn’t a direct adaptation of the comics but draws inspiration from them.
