You’re going to find out about its potential release date, whether there is a trailer, what the story could be about, and much more about this interesting anime series whose future is still very uncertain. If you’re not fully up-to-date with the series, we have to warn you that there is going to be a significant amount of spoilers in the paragraphs below.
What do we know about Season 2 of Sky Wizards Academy?
The original light novel series was written by Yū Moroboshi and features art by Mikihiro Amami. The first volume was published by Fujimi Shobo on July 20, 2013, and fourteen volumes were released concluding on July 20, 2017, when the final volume was released. The manga adaptation, drawn by Arisu Shidō, was published from July 26, 2014, to July 27, 2016, in Monthly Comic Alive magazine. The first bound volume was published by Media Factory on November 22, 2014, and four volumes were released on October 22, 2016.
The anime adaptation was announced in July 2014. The series was produced at the Diomedéa studio by Takayuki Inagaki, from a script by Hiroshi Yamaguchi. It originally aired on July 8, 2015, on Tokyo MX. A thirteenth episode was released in March 2016 with the ninth book in the light novel series.
As you can see, the future of the Sky Wizards Academy anime is quite uncertain, but not because there’s no interest or lack of material. The series was fairly popular back in the day, but it’s been seven years and since anime series usually run while there’s a need to promote the written materials, the chances are very slim.
The original light novel series ended five years ago, so there is no need to promote anything else; but, as the light novel series ended relatively recently, the producers might still find the idea intriguing. Now, all of this doesn’t completely exclude the possibility of another season, but the chances are slimmer so we’ll just have to see whether there is enough interest for a continuation to make any proper predictions about the potential continuation of the series. The first season wasn’t all too well received, we have to admit that, but we still don’t know enough to make any predictions on the show’s future.
In any case, the earliest we could see a potential second season is late 2023, but we’d have to get some confirmation on the future during 2022 or easily 2023; 2024 is also a strong possibility. The fans are demanding a new season, but we’ll just have to see how it goes; as far as things stand now, a cancelation has not been confirmed, but we cannot rule it out either. It all depends on the future so we’ll just have to wait.
What could Season 2 of Sky Wizards Academy be about?
At this moment, we do not know how far the second season of Sky Wizards Academy could take us because we don’t know how many additional volumes of the original light novel series the season could potentially adapt; it could be the whole series or just a part of it. Namely, due to a lack of information in general, we have absolutely no clue how far the second season might go if it even happens. What follows is an overview of the original anime series so you can get a rough idea of what you could expect from the series if it ever comes back in the future, and where the plot left off seven years ago.

Later, Kanata talks to Yuri, leading Fireteam E601 to mistakenly believe that she is Kanata’s girlfriend. The team follows or spy on Kanata for the rest of the day.
As the team roles are redistributed again, Lecty begins to have serious doubts about the effectiveness of this new training session. Although patrols guard the entire town, the mysterious figure’s attacks on the students continue. Yuri is also targeted by Kanata, who is able to save her from sinking. Lecty and Rico passed Kanata’s test. They seem to get along well.
However, Misora is still doomed. Misora’s frustration grows as Lecty and Rico show off their skills in practice. Before Misora can confirm that she is finally ready, the Mistgun Tournament still begins. After seeing what Lecty and Rico are up to, Misora finally understands leadership and teamwork. Against all odds, Fireteam E601 takes victory after an unexpected victory.
The Fireteam E601 surprises everyone and surpasses the expectations of all the viewers except their trainer, Kanata. It merges with a Devil Beetle Chimera and attacks Kanata, Fireteam, and Yuri. All five fight back and defeat the mutated Real Nua.
Fireteam E601 is announced as the winner of the Mistgun tournament and allowed to stay in school. However, you won’t get any prizes for winning the Mistgun Tournament because the new cannons and part of Mistgun City were destroyed when the Devil Beetles attacked. Yuri joins Fireteam as a new member as per the deal she made with Kanata before the Mistgun Tournament started. Yuri confesses his love to Kanata in the form of a cake saying “I love you”.
