Star Wars Bounty Hunters: 15 Most Dangerous
Bounty hunters are a huge part of the Star Wars universe. Theyโre the ones you call when you need something to be done and the ones who do the dirty work regardless of the job. Some of these names strike fear in the bones of every criminal, spy, or others with a bounty on their head, and for a good reason.
Hereโs the ultimate list of the 15 most dangerous Star Wars bounty hunters ever, ranked from least to most dangerous.
15. Dengar
Dengar is a Corellian bounty hunter who was most active and successful during the Clone Wars days. His pseudonym is the Demolisher, known for his short temper and an affinity for violence.
Dengarโs weapons of choice are usually heavy machine guns, which he doesnโt mind using to bash somebodyโs head in. He was active for quite a long time, but even in his olden days, Dengar was one of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy. The fact that he was among the six bounty hunters picked by Darth Vader tells you all you need to know about the guyโs skills.
Dengar worked for the Hutts throughout most of his career, most notably being Jabba the Huttโs bodyguard for a while. At the end of his career, he folded and decided to help the Republic in the Battle of Jakku in exchange for a pardon.
14. 4-LOM and Zuckuss
Itโs not often that you see a tag team of bounty hunters, but 4-LOM and Zuckuss worked together for years. They were also two of the six bounty hunters in Vaderโs crew.
4-LOM was a LOM-series protocol droid who worked on a pleasure liner. However, he always dreamed of becoming a galaxy-traveling bounty hunter. 4-LOM found a way to hack through his programming and break free, reprogramming himself to become what he desired.
On the other hand, Zuckuss is an insectoid that worked for Darth Vader even before the Han Solo mission, retrieving Doctor Chelli Aphra for him after the Rebel Alliance captured him during the Battle of Yavin. Zuckuss suffers from schizophrenia, switching from calm and composed to angry and violent on a whim.
Working with 4-LOM evens that out, and the two make an incredible bounty-hunting team. Also, they both show their morals in the end, helping the Rebel Alliance in their fight against the Empire.
13. Zam Wessel
Zam Wessel was a Clawdite bounty hunter from Zolan with shape-shifting abilities. She was a prominent bounty hunter who worked with Jango Fett at the beginning of her career. She built her reputation by doing so; however, she gets a lot of heat and disrespect for not being able to finish a job and kill Padme Amidala – twice – during the Attack of the Clones.
However, itโs not like Padme had no help. Two incredibly powerful Jedi protected her – Obi-Wan Kenobi, who trained Luke Skywalker, and Anakin Skywalker, who became Darth Vader later.
Zamโs shapeshifting abilities make her that much more dangerous. She had shown incredible versatility in her approach to the job, sometimes going all-out with guns and bombs while taking a more stealthy, subtle approach on other occasions.
Still, as great as Zam was, and as good as her reputation was, failing to do a job miserably is not something that the top folks from this list would ever do, which is why her placement is so low on the list.
12. Cato Parasitti
Cato Parasitti is the same species as the more popular Zam Wessel; only Cato didnโt appear in any of the movies. Instead, she appeared in Star Wars: Clone Wars and presented more formidable skills than Zam.
Cato is a shapeshifter, allowing her to be an incredibly gifted infiltrator and thief. While briefly working for Cad Bane, Cato infiltrated a Jedi Temple and stole a holocron for Bane. She almost got away, but a Padawan named Ahsoka Tano – whose spin-off series weโll watch in 2022 – captured her before she could escape. Still, she did the job, as Bane escaped with the object.
Parasitti is a cold-blooded assassin that only cares about the money, and she has a natural feel for combat. When Cato wielded a lightsaber for the first time in her life, she held her ground against a Jedi Padawan, which is a clear testament to her awesome combat skills.
11. Aurra Sing
Aurra Sing was as dangerous as they come. She had one of the widest contact lists in the business, as she worked with Jango Fett, Bossk, Cad Bane, Hondo Ohnaka, and other famous bounty hunters. Aurra is best-known for her incredible marksmanship, having killed multiple high-value targets from the Senate without ever being spotted.
After Jango Fettโs death, Sing took little Boba Fett in and trained him to become a merciless killer – itโs the only way you can survive in the business. She tried to help him murder Mace Windu, but after their plot fell through, Aurra left Boba and continued working alone.
She had no morals, no remorse, and killed anybody who came into her crosshair, even if they were friends or family. Tobias Beckett later murdered her. As for her origins, itโs unknown where she came from, but itโs believed Aurra was a human hybrid of some sort.
10. Bossk
Bossk is well-known among Star Wars fans. Heโs the reptile-looking bounty hunter who was also a part of Darth Vaderโs notorious six. Bossk is a Tradoshan and a son of the legendary bounty hunter named Cradossk, which helped him learn how to be a bounty hunter from a very young age.
Bossk was another one of the guys that molded a young Boba Fett into the galaxyโs best bounty hunter. They were in prison together, where Bossk defended the young Fett but separated after they got out.
He would be much higher on this list if there werenโt for Bosskโs incredibly elaborate code of conduct. He always sticks to his guidelines and morals that other bounty hunters donโt care about. If Bossk didnโt restrain himself so much, he would probably be near the top of this list.
9. IG-88
IG-88 is a sentient Phlutdroid from the IG series, a series of the deadliest droid assassins ever created. The moment IG-88 gained consciousness, he murdered his makers and liberated himself completely from the programmed thought.
His consciousness is completely free but also careless about right or wrong – he simply performs the task given to him as a bounty hunter. The droid is armed to the teeth, programmed to be a powerful assassin, and he quickly becomes one of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy. Not only is he an effective killer, but IG-88 is extremely hard to damage.
He usually worked alone, but sometimes as a part of a team. IG-88 uploaded his consciousness in several other drones, including the identical IG-11 from the IG series. In Star Wars Legends, his end goal was to transfer his consciousness into the second Death Star and take control of all the droids in the galaxy, but he failed because the Death Star was destroyed.
8. Embo
Embo is my favorite character on this list and one of the coolest-looking bounty hunters in the galaxy. He mostly operated during the Clone Wars, where the awesome bounty hunter from Phatrong managed to capture Anakin Skywalker – yes, the mighty Jedi who later became Darth Vader.
Embo dons a cool hat he often uses as a shield, and a crossbow, with which heโs extremely accurate. He worked as a bodyguard for the Hutts for a while and worked solo most of the time, but when he did work in a team, Embo showed an incredibly affectionate and altruistic side when he worked in a team.
He once saved a village from getting destroyed by pirates. Embo got pardoned by the Republic after joining Dengar and helping him during the Battle of Jakku.
7. Fennec Shand
I grew fond of Fennec Shand during The Mandalorian series. She is a human bounty hunter, incredibly skilled as a sniper. She could hit just about any target within the range of her rifle. After Din Djarin almost killed her on Tatooine, Boba Fett saved her life, and the two teamed up.
Fennec received cybernetic enhancements to help her survive her fatal wounds. Now, the two will star in The Book of Boba Fett TV show that will revolve around them taking over the criminal empire left unclaimed after the death of Jabba the Hutt. Well, Bib Fortuna tried claiming it before Fett shot him.
As for Shandโs skills, her expertise is a sniper rifle, which she can use effectively even in close combat and without a scope. Fennec uses it as a melee weapon, too, and when you pair it with her ruthless attitude along with her battle skills and cybernetic enhancements, itโs no wonder that Fennec Shand is so high up on the list of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy.
6. Asajj Ventress
Asajj Ventress is one of the most dangerous Sith assassins in the galaxy, capable of incredible powers and the use of the Force. Asajj started as a Padawan to become a Jedi, but her incredible rage made Ventress turn to the Dark Side of the Force.
Count Dooku was her mentor, and Asajjโs powers grew so fast that the Emperor ordered Dooku to kill her because Ventress became too much of a threat to him. Dooku failed, and Asajj escaped, prompting her to become a bounty hunter as a way to survive.
Her incredible skills and training as a powerful Sith assassin helped her become one of the most ruthless, dangerous, vicious bounty hunters in the galaxy. The only problem is that the Empire wanted her death, so she had to remain in the shadows.
In the end, Asajj let go of her anger and returned to the Light Side, redeeming herself when she gave her life to save the Jedi. She worked with Ahsoka Tano for some time, so we may see Asajj Ventress in the upcoming show, too, which I would love.
5. Black Krrsantan
If Chewbacca had an evil twin, he would look exactly like Black Krrsantan. The creature is a Wookiee gladiator – the only Wookiee ever to enter their Fighting pits willingly and use nothing but his brutal physical strength to bludgeon his opponent to death. Black Krrsantan is vicious, atrociously strong, and angry.
He usually dons a crossbow on his bounty hunting missions while wearing awesome battle armor. He worked as Jabba the Huttโs bounty hunter for a while, and Jabba called him his second-best, with only Boba Fett being better at what they do.
Black Krrsantan fought Han Solo, Chewbacca, Artoo, and C-3PO simultaneously and survived. He also almost killed Obi-Wan Kenobi when they fought on Tatooine, which is astounding considering Kenobiโs expertise in using the Force.
Later, Krrsantan worked for Darth Vader himself, finishing several missions for the Dark Lord, after which he found himself working closely with Doctor Aphra. You know how strong Wookiees can be from Chewbacca. Try removing his moral compass and nearly doubling his strength, and you get this horrifying beast of a bounty hunter.
4. Cad Bane
Cad Bane only appeared in the Clone Wars animated series, but heโs by far one of the most dangerous, vicious, and skilled bounty hunters ever in the Star Wars universe. He looks like a Wild West space cowboy, donning a long brown coat and a wide-brimmed hat.
Bane is incredibly smart, intelligent, and skilled in combat, being one of the fastest and most skilled marksmen in the galaxy with his dual blaster pistols. Not only did he fight Jedi countless times, he sometimes even won. Cad stated that he prefers a job against a Jedi because itโs more fun.
He encountered Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi several times and quickly rose to the top spot on the list of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy after Jango Fett died. Letโs all hope and pray weโll see Cad Bane transition to a live-action show, as heโs a brilliant character and a villain you love to hate.
3. Din Djarin
Din Djarin, aka Mando, is the main protagonist of The Mandalorian TV series. Heโs a Mandalorian warrior/bounty hunter who does anything you put before him. If you need a job done, you call Din. Except when he decides to follow his moral compass and abandons his mission to save Grogu, aka โBaby Yoda.โ
Mando is an incredibly skilled bounty hunter with a highly-advanced Mandalorian suit. The guy easily dismantles an entire team of Stormtroopers without breaking a sweat. What makes him so incredible is doing the right thing even when he knows how much trouble itโll get him in.
Heโs the most wanted guy in the galaxy and still somehow survives and keeps Grogu safe. Yes, he had help, but that doesnโt take away from the fact that Din Djarin is awesome. The reason why heโs not number one on the list is that, although we love him for doing the right thing, itโs not a good bountyโhunting strategy.
Oh, and I almost forgot – the Fetts exist.
2. Jango Fett
Jango Fett was the greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy. The Mandalorian foundling did the toughest jobs for the highest bounties. Jango was so great that the Empire decided to create an entire army of his clones, using his exact genetic code to create an army of deadly assassins like himself.
Jango Fett is an awesome combatant, marksman, and pilot. Heโs also a quick-thinker, and his reputation speaks for itself. Thereโs not an aspect of combat in which Jango isnโt an expert, especially while using his Mandalorian armor and weaponry, such as blasters, a jetpack, small flamethrowers, explosives, and much more.
Thereโs not much else you need to say except that Jango was such an incredible soldier and bounty hunter that the Empire had used his genetic code to create an entire army of cloned supersoldiers.
Thereโs only one bounty hunter who topped Jangoโs legacy, and it all stayed in the Fett family
1. Boba Fett
Finally, Boba Fett is the greatest, most dangerous bounty hunters the galaxy has ever seen. Being the only unaltered, identical clone raised by the original, Jango Fett, Boba had all the predispositions to become the galaxyโs best bounty hunter. Jango trained Boba from a very young age, not just to be a bounty hunter, but under Mandalorian culture, too.
After his father died, Boba vowed to continue his legacy and become the best bounty hunter there is. He was tutored by Aurra Sing and Bossk and worked with many others after them, but eventually did best when he was on his own.
Boba managed to top his fatherโs legacy, doing the toughest jobs for the highest bounties and never disappointing. He was singled out by Darth Vader when the Dark Lord assembled the team of the six best bounty hunters to track down Han Solo.
While working for Jabba the Hutt, Boba Fett was considered his best mercenary. After Jangoโs death, Boba took over his armor and even enhanced it a bit, as well as their incredible starship, Slave I.
Nobody other than Jango comes even close to Bobaโs reputation as a bounty hunter, which is why heโs the clear choice for the top spot on this list.
