Black Panther is one of the most powerful Marvel superheroes. He was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and made his first appearance in Fantastic Four #52 in 1966. Black Panther is the king of the African nation Wakanda and has superhuman strength, speed, agility, stamina, and reflexes. He is also an expert fighter and strategist.
There are many versions of this superhero that were introduced to us over the years and each of them is special in its own way. However, some versions are stronger than others, and in this article, you can find a ranked list of the strongest Black Panther versions.
20. K’Shamba ( Black Panther 2099 )
We’ll start this list with K’Shamba. Black Panther in 2099 known as K’Shamba is the version of Black Panther we find the weakest one among the ones on this list. The reason for this is that he did not take the Heart-Shaped Herb that was traditionally consumed by the new ruler and the heir to the mantle of the Black Panther. Because of that, he did not possess enhanced physical abilities. Nevertheless, he has exceptional martial art skills and is at the peak of human strength as he even managed to defeat Doctor Doom.
19. Star-Lord ( What If )
The show What If showed us what would’ve happened if Yondu picked up T’Challa instead of Peter Quill and the result was very amusing. Apparently, T’Challa would then become Star-Lord. He would have access to Ravagers’ weapons and also possessed his reflexes and fighting skills. However, he did not take the Heart Shaped herb. Even so, he was so powerful that he was chosen to be one of the Guardians of the Multiverse. This version is sneakier and silver-tongued than other versions of the Black Panther.
18. King ( Earth-18136 )
This version of Black Panther is a member of the Exiles, a group of heroes that travel across universes in order to provide help. This T’Challa goes by the alias King. This Black Panther comes from the Old West, he is a gunslinger and uses vibranium bullets. He is also at the peak of his human strength with exceptional reflexes. His unusual appearance is not something we are used to from Black Panther, but that does not change the fact that he is a fierce warrior.
17. Black Panther ( Ultimate )
After the combat that left T’Challa severely injured, he was brought to the Weapon X program to heal. It was the same program that turned Logan into Wolverine giving him adamantium claws and skeletons. After the procedure, this Black Panther had real retractable claws and his reflexes and strength were at the peak of his abilities. He was later used by S.H.I.E.L.D. as an assassin. However, the procedure left him unstable, and he could not talk. Anyhow, there are far more powerful versions of the Black Panther than this one.
16. Azzuri
Azzuri is T’Challa’s and Shuri’s grandfather and he ruled Wakanda during World War II. He fought many enemies and Red Skull was one of them. The Red Skull wanted the vibrainum because he was sure it would give him a huge advantage against his opponents. Azzuri possessed classic abilities that Black Panther does after he takes the Heart-Shaped Herb. He is at the peak of his strength with enhanced reflexes and fighting skills. He also possessed knowledge of the entire Black Panther lineage. He has the power of necromancy and can control the dead.
15. Bronze Tiger
This version of Black Panther emerged when the crossover between Marvel and DC happened. Many of the famous characters from both Universes combined and gave us new superheroes. This version of Black Panther had the strength and ferocity of a literal tiger. Bronze Tiger was actually a DC character but now was provided with the knowledge, resources, and advanced weaponry Wakanda had to offer. 14. Spider
This version of the Black Panther actually got Spider-Man’s abilities. He also went through a process of mutation and grew an extra four arms which led him to resemble a lot to a spider. His abilities as Black Panther remained intact and to add to them he also gained new abilities such as wall-crawling and web-swinging. This version of the Black Panther was not long-lived, but it was very powerful nevertheless.
13. Kevin ‘Kasper’ Cole
Kasper Cole was a New York City police officer and he shortly became Black Panther when he found the Black Panther suit in an Evidence Locker in the police station he worked. He used the suit and became a vigilante who sought justice against the criminals on New York’s streets. He took a synthetic version of the Heart Shaped herb that was given to him by Killmonger and gained the power of the Black Panther. After that, he became a defender of Brooklyn known as the White Tiger.
12. T’Chaka
T’Chaka is T’Challa’s father and he ruled Wakanda and wore the mantle of Black Panther before T’Challa was crowned King. He was a wise warrior and leader that tried his best to keep Wakanda’s resources hidden from the rest of the world in order to prevent dangers that would emerge if their technology would fall into the wrong hands.
