Ghost in the Shell

Ghost in the Shell is a Japanese cyberpunk media franchise based on the manga series named Ghost in the Shell. The original manga series was created by Masamune Shirow and so far the franchise consists of several anime adaptations, television series, films, OVAs, as well as other forms of media. Ghost in the Shell features a heavy cyberpunk setting and is set in the fictional city Niihama. The story follows Motoko Kusanagi who after a terrible accident is left with a high level of cyberization which leaves her open to various hacker attacks.
