Halloween is an American slasher media franchise created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill with the original movie titled Halloween released in 1978. Halloween is among the most famous horror franchises and so far consists of a large number of movies, novels, comic books, video games as well as other fictional works and merchandise. Halloween’s most iconic character is serial mass murderer Michael Myers who, after escaping asylum for the criminally insane commits a large number of murders in Haddonfield Illinois around the time of Halloween.
