‘The Batman’ Executive Producer Teases Release Window For ‘Batgirl’

I swear, I will ask for a raise for every “Batman” word I write until the movie comes out. All jokes aside, while the DC fans are (im)patiently waiting for the release of Matt Reeves‘s movie The Batman, in which Robert Pattinson will debut as you-know-who.

Although The Batman is currently the closest DC project, we will get a lot more of them by the end of this year. One of the upcoming projects that we’re going to watch is Batgirl, a live-action movie set in the DCEU in which Leslie Grace will play the titular hero, while Michael Keaton will reprise the role of his own Batman.

Keaton played the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in Tim Burton’s original movie in 1989, and in the sequel Batman Returns in 1992. Now, three decades since he wore the cape last time, Keaton will reappear as Batman in the upcoming movie The Flash, which will be released in November, and then in Batgirl movie, which is set to be released exclusively on HBOMax by the end of this year.

The Flash movie will be released on November 4, 2022, and due to the DCEU timeline, Batgirl cannot be released before The Flash. Considering that it was announced that Batgirl will be released before this year ends, that narrows the release window quite a bit.

Now, Michael Uslan, who worked as the executive producer on numerous DC projects, including the upcoming movie The Batman (but not on Batgirl), revealed that we will see Keaton in November and December. Considering that The Flash will be released in November, it doesn’t take much to figure out when that other movie featuring Keaton’s Batman will be released.

“And coming in November… and December… Michael Keaton Returns.” — Michael Uslan on Facebook

The Flash movie is starring Ezra Miller in the titular role, Sasha Calle as DCEU’s Supergirl, Michael Keaton as Batman, and Ben Affleck as Batman. Barry, what have you done this time?

Batgirl movie is starring Leslie Grace in the titular role, Michael Keaton as Batman, JK Simmons as James Gordon, and Brendan Fraser as Firefly.
