The Boys: Trailer For The Fictional Movie ‘Dawn of the Seven’ Revealed
Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys is known as a satire series that mocks everything we know about the superhero genre, and what they did now is no different, it’s actually on a whole another level. During the second season of the series, members of the Seven were filming an in-universe movie, and now we got the official trailer, which was released on Vought International’s YouTube account:
Just like the series, it’s obvious this trailer is a parody of the superhero genre. First off, we can see that Vought Studios’ logo design is almost as same as Marvel Studios’, and the movie is set in the Vought Cinematic Universe. Also, we don’t need to be a big brain to see that Dawn of the Seven is a parody of Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. On the official Twitter account, the trailer was shared along with the hashtag #ReleasetheBourkeCut, which is, of course, a reference to the known #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign. And what’s even better, Zack Snyder himself shared the trailer and wrote: “Congratulations to Director Bourke. Excited to see your vision realized.”
Check the trailer down below:
“Coming June 3. When darkness descends on the world, and it seems all hope is lost, seven heroes will rise. Seven who will stand. Seven who will fight. Seven who will restore light and hope, and see the sun rise on a new era. This is the true story of the greatest superhero team the world has ever known. This is the Dawn of The Seven.” — Dawn of the Seven, official description
Although it’s not a real thing, it’s safe to say this movie would be a big deal in theaters and among the fans of the superhero genre. The filming of this movie was one of the storylines in The Boys Season 2, and after more than a year and a half on hiatus, Season 3 will premiere on Prime Video on June 3, 2022.
