The fourth season of the popular DC series Titans officially started production, as Brenton Thwaites, who plays Dick Grayson aka Nightwing, announced on his newest Instagram post.

DC Titans premiered in 2018 on the DC Universe streaming service. Season 2 premiered a year later. In 2020, all the DC Universe shows moved to HBOMax, including Doom Patrol and Harley Quinn animated series. Titans Season 3 premiered in August last year and it concluded in October. Season 4 was officially announced on last year’s DC FanDome, only a week before Season 3 aired its finale.

The series follows a titular team of superheroes. Brenton Thwaites leads the cast as the first live-action Nightwing. Season 3 of the series also starred Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Conor Leslie as Donna Troy, Curran Walters as Red Hood, Joshua Orpin as Superboy, Damaris Lewis as Blackfire, Savannah Welch as Barbara Gordon, Minka Kelly as Dove, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, and Vincent Kartheiser as Jonathan Crane.

Titans Season 4 Adds Three New Cast Members In Villainous Roles

It is expected that most of the cast main cast will return in Season 4. Jay Lycurgo, who joined the series last season as Tim Drake will presumably be upped to series regular. Thanks to Thwaites’ post from the first day of filming, we can be sure that Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, and Superboy will definitely return, but we kinda knew that already. It’s still unknown if some other actors, like Minka Kelly as Dove or Damaris Lewis as Blackfire, will return in the upcoming season.

Season 3 of the series ended with Titans beating Jonathan Crane, Batman’s enemy known as Scarecrow. The majority of the last season was set in Gotham City and it was focused on the Bat-family, but at the end of the season, the team moved back to their base of operations in San Francisco, we are expecting the next season to be more Titans-ish.

Titans Season 4 is currently in production. It’s not known when it’s going to premiere, but it’s presumed it’s gonna take a while before we see the team again. The first three seasons are streaming on HBOMax.
