‘Tokyo Revengers’ Season 4 Release Date, Time, Where to Watch and Preview
‘Tokyo Revengers’ is returning for its fourth and final season on October 2, the first confirmed premiere date on the autumn anime schedule. The new season adapts the penultimate arc of Ken Wakui’s original manga.
Fans trying to pin down when and where to watch will find the picture mostly clear, with a few time zone caveats. The premiere sits in Japan’s Friday late night block, which means it falls on Saturday by the clock. This guide covers the date, the timing, the streaming options and what the early material suggests about the final stretch of ‘Tokyo Revengers’.
Release Date for the War of the Three Titans Arc
The October 2 date was revealed alongside a new trailer, and it opens the autumn anime season with a confirmed premiere. The season is officially titled War of the Three Titans Arc, and Japanese television broadcasts begin on the same date as the streaming launch.
Anticipation has been building for a long time. Earlier coverage had no official date to work with and could only estimate a window based on how long the previous season had been off the air. A trailer released in the spring had already pointed to an October premiere.
The first episode is titled “Break up” and picks up right after the previous season wrapped its fight against Tenjiku. That continuity means newcomers will want to catch up before the premiere rather than jump in cold.
Release Time Explained for Japan and Beyond
The October 2 label can cause confusion. October 2 is the Friday late night programming label, while the first MBS and TBS broadcast lands shortly after 1 a.m. JST on Saturday, October 3.
Disney+ Japan lists a 2 a.m. JST start on that same Saturday. Converted to other regions, that slot becomes October 2 at 5 p.m. UTC, 1 p.m. EDT or 10 a.m. PDT, though these are conversions and not confirmed local release times. Viewers should check their regional Disney+ listing on the day.
Not every Japanese station starts together, since Nagano’s NBS joins in the October 9 late night block, a week after MBS and TBS. The official announcement has not yet shared an episode count or an English dub schedule, and broadcast times may change.
Where to Watch the Final Run of ‘Tokyo Revengers’
The official site confirms Disney+ as the exclusive global subscription streaming service outside mainland China. In the United States the premiere streams on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, while international territories get it on Disney+.
The previous season is also streaming on those platforms, which gives viewers a convenient way to prepare. The new arc continues the story and is not a reboot, so the earlier arcs run in order from the 8/3 Conflict through Bloody Halloween, Christmas Showdown and Tenjiku.
Within Japan the series airs on MBS, TBS, CBC, BS-TBS and Disney+, while AT-X carries it on Saturday evenings. Viewers abroad can ignore most of that list, since the global streaming home is a single service.
Preview of the Story and Staff Behind the Season
Maki Kodaira takes over directing duties at Liden Films from Koichi Hatsumi, who moves to writing the scripts, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi composes the music. The opening theme is “IGNITE” by JO1, and the ending theme is “TRICK STAR” by go!go!vanillas.
New cast members include Naoyuki Shimozuru as Takeomi Akashi, Shinnosuke Tachibana as Wakasa Imaushi, Takanori Hoshino as Keizo Arashi and Hiroki Yasumoto as South Terano. The title points to a three way gang conflict between Mikey’s Kanto Manji Gang, Senju Kawaragi’s Brahman and South Terano’s Rokuhara Tandai.
According to the premiere synopsis, Takemichi once again tells Mikey about his time travel, and Mikey responds by dissolving the Tokyo Manji Gang. The official description says Takemichi returns to the past to save Mikey, and the latest promotional video keeps that personal goal at the center.
This is the first of two major arcs that bring the series to its end. With Mikey now leading the Kanto Manji Gang and Takemichi racing to reach him, do you think the final run can give their bond the ending it deserves, and which new gang leader worries you most?
