What’s Coming to Netflix This Week

There’s some great stuff dropping on Netflix over the next few days, with a mix of series and movies to keep us entertained. From White House mysteries to zombie hunts and high-stakes heists, here’s what’s coming, sorted by release date.
Kicking things off today, March 17, we’ve got ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City.’ If you’re into the zombie world, you’ll see Maggie and Negan teaming up in a wrecked New York City. Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are back as these two, chasing after Maggie’s kidnapped son. It’s gritty, tense, and a perfect warm-up since Season 2 is coming to AMC soon.
Next up, on March 18, there’s ‘The Outrun.’ It’s a drama with Saoirse Ronan playing a woman fresh out of rehab, heading back to Scotland’s Orkney Islands. She’s trying to rebuild her life, and it’s based on Amy Liptrot’s book. Expect a raw, emotional story with some stunning scenery.
Then, on March 20, we’ve got ‘The Residence,’ a new show hitting the platform. It’s a whodunnit set right inside the White House, starring Uzo Aduba as a detective named Cordelia Cupp. She’s got a tough gig—figuring out who killed someone during a fancy state dinner. With 132 rooms and 157 suspects, it’s a wild ride that promises twists and a bit of humor. Oh, and Kylie Minogue pops in too, which should be fun.
Also on March 20, check out ‘Wolf King.’ It’s a fantasy adventure based on Curtis Jobling’s ‘Wereworld’ books. The story follows a young guy who finds out he’s the last werewolf in a royal line. Think epic battles and a kid stepping up to claim a throne—it’s got that classic coming-of-age vibe with a furry twist.
Action fans, you’ll want to catch ‘Den of Thieves 2: Pantera‘ dropping on March 20 too. Gerard Butler returns as Big Nick, hunting down O’Shea Jackson Jr.’s character, Donnie, across Europe. This time, they’re tangled in a diamond heist with some nasty mafia types. It’s a sequel to the 2018 hit, and people say it’s got a slicker, more grown-up feel than the first.
So, there you go—five big titles to check out. Whether you’re into mysteries, zombies, fantasy, action, or heavy drama, Netflix has something cooking for us this week. I know I’ll be carving out some time to watch these. What about you?
