Welcome to the Ending Explained for Kung Fun Panda: The Dragon Knight Season 2. The new season arrives on Netflix with 12 new episodes, continuing exactly where the first season left off. We will see how the team of Panda and Blade will come to great realizations about themselves and about how far they will go in the search for power. The Dragon Knight, more than any other show based on the Kung Fu Panda world, and even taking the movies into consideration, feels like a true exploration of the setting and makes more impressive character development than all else combined.

The series still suffers from wonky animation and a lack of details in the models and backgrounds, but thankfully the writing is strong enough that many of these shortcomings can be overlooked. The series is truly one of the best installments in the Kung Fu Panda series and will surely be one of the most well-regarded with time, thanks to powerful character moments, and an epic scope. This is the kind of Kung Fu Panda we should have gotten in the movies, but at least we are able to experience such a wonderful story even on a TV budget level.

The following paragraphs contain spoilers for Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight Season 2. Read at your own risk.

Did Blade Manage To Capture Klaus And Veruca?

At the beginning of season 1, we are told that Blade, a knight bear, coming from England with a mission: to find and arrest two thieves named, Klaus and Veruca, both of them weasels, murderers, and siblings. Veruca is clearly the leader between the two of them, and she is selfish and dangerous. Meanwhile, Klaus follows her sister at every step, but he has doubts about what they are doing. He seems to have a conscience, even a little one, while his sister completely lacks one.

As season two reaches its conclusion, Blade has managed to trace the siblings to a volcanic area. The pair is wounded, and Veruca asks Klaus to collect some medicine for her. He does as asked. However, Blade finds Veruca first, and the weasel starts taunting Blade with the death of Blade’s brother, the knight that inspired her to pick up a sword. Blade’s brother was killed by the same sword Blade is handling right now. It is revealed that Blade saw him die when she was a kid.

Veruca and Blade fight, but Veruca is weak. She is defeated, and Blade is about to strike the final blow, but Klaus comes to save his sister. He gives her the medicine, but she throws it away. Veruca is only focused on killing Blade. Blade battles both siblings at the same time, but in the end, she grabs Klaus and threatens Veruca with killing Klaus. However, Veruca shows her true colors and gets ready to leave, leaving Klaus behind. Blade warns her that she cannot win against Zuma, who has three of the Tianshang weapons in her possession: the blade, the helmet, and the gauntlet.

Veruca doesn’t think twice and leaves Klaus behind. Blade, of course, doesn’t kill Klaus, but leaves him alone to think about what to do next, now that his sister has proved that she doesn’t care for him. The fate of both Veruca and Klaus is left unknown, as we don’t see them in the last episode.

Can Po Recover The Tianshang Weapons From Zuma?

As the show comes to a close on the side of Po and his team of misfits, he meets the spirit of Master Mastodon. An elephant with storm powers who thinks he might have what it takes to take the Tianshang weapons away from Zuma. However, there is an issue. The spirit has taken somewhat possession of Po’s father, Mr. Ping. This is dangerous because Mastodon says very clearly that Ping’s body might not be enough to contain his power, and he also might be in danger of dying during the battle with Zuma.

Po immediately asks Mastodon to teach him the storm powers. He doesn’t want to see his father go into a battle he is not prepared for. Po goes into annoying mode and starts harassing Mastodon, but he tells him it is impossible for him to learn the storm powers; it would take him thousands of years that they don’t have. Po and Mastodon start fighting, and Po uses his Kung Fun to defeat Mastodon. Po kicks him so hard that his spirit leaves Ping’s body.

Blade returns from his journey, and Po is happy to see her and know that she didn’t kill Veruca and Klaus. However, in a turn of events, it is revealed that now, Mastodon’s spirit is inside Po’s body. Inside Po’s head, we see both Po and Mastodon sharing a seat at Ping’s food stand. They don’t get along very well, but they decide they must defeat Zuma together. So, Po and his team get ready to attack Zuma’s pyramid and her palace and take the Tianshang weapons away from her.

The battle is vicious, but in the end, Zuma’s power is just too big, and she manages to kill Po. Inside their mind, we can see that Mastodon and Po realize they have been killed. The Tianshang weapons take the souls of the warriors they defeat, and so they are dragged into a black hole inside the weapon. Mastodon sacrifices and gets sucked into the hole, leaving Po with the chance to come back. He does and defeats an unsuspected Zuma using his Kung Fu. He takes the weapons, uses them for a short while, and saves the city.

In the end, we see Po, Blade, and his team deciding to go back to England together, in search of the last gauntlet. However, as the season closes, we see the sight of another ship crewed by other England knights, and one of them has a wanted poster with a picture of Mr. Ping. Was Mr. Ping some sort of pirate before being Po’s father? We will have to wait until season 3 and see.
