Sabo vs. Imu: Who Is Stronger & Who Would Win in a Fight?
One Piece is an anime that certainly has its fair share of strong and powerful characters. Some of these guys have fought in the series, and some have not, but regardless of that, we always find it interesting to analyze them in our comparisons. In this article, we are going to compare two characters to determine who the stronger one is. The first character we are going to talk about is Sabo, the “Flame Emperor” and a powerful member of the Revolutionary Army. The second character we are going to discuss is Imu, the mysterious ruler of the World Government, who seems to be one of the most powerful characters in the whole series.
At this moment, it is unknown how a fight between Sabo and Imu would end, as Imu’s powers are mostly unknown. His political power wouldn’t be of much use in a direct one-on-one fight, and we still don’t know how powerful his transformation is, as well as how skilled he is with his saber. This is why we simply cannot determine a winner at this point, as we don’t have enough information to go on, so we have to put this one as a TBD.
The rest of the article will be about comparing the two selected characters from One Piece. You’re going to find out all about Sabo’s and Imu’s abilities, but we cannot use our usual category-based system as we lack the information on Imu and his abilities, which is why we are simply going to present the two characters to you so that you can see the information we have for yourselves. In the end, based on what we have presented earlier, we’re going to give our final verdict on who is stronger.
Sabo is currently known as the “Flame Emperor”
Sabo has demonstrated outstanding agility in addition to his physical powers and abilities. When he dented numerous Marines’ guns and successfully parried Bastille’s greatsword with one hand, he stated that his fingers were as strong and resilient as a dragon’s claws. He seems to have the strength to effortlessly defeat a Marine Vice Admiral like Bastille.
After consuming the Mera Mera no Mi, formerly Ace’s Devil Fruit, Sabo gained strength and engaged Admiral Fujitora in combat. As the battle wore on, however, the Admiral continued to appear unharmed while Sabo started to exhibit signs of injury, even though the fight was eventually stopped in his favor. Later, he was able to beat Jesus Burgess, the leader of the first fleet of the Blackbeard Pirates, without suffering any damage.
Sabo is able to use Observation Haki, despite the fact that the canonical evidence of his skill with it is scant. He sensed the waning of Luffy’s Haki in Dressrosa as he engaged Doflamingo. Sabo demonstrates that he is capable of using Armament Haki during his fight with Burgess. He was able to utterly shatter Corrida Colosseum while imbuing his fists with Haki, demonstrating the strength of this ability.
Imu is one of the series’ biggest enigmas
As everyone knows, Imu is the mysterious ruler of the World Government who sits on the Empty Throne. And while he looks like an oversized mop or broom, he is actually a small guy wearing a large crown, and we have only seen his silhouette thus far. He seems to know even more than the Five Elders and he is the only person that the five geezers answer to.
Sadly, we know almost nothing about his powers and abilities. We know that he has, like all World Nobles, a lot of political power and influence, but since he rules out of the shadows and no one, save for the Five Elders, knows about him, we assume that he has more influence than them. He is also in control of the powerful weapon that destroyed Lulusia, a weapon created by Vegapunk, but we don’t know how and when he can use it.
We know that he has a saber of his own, but we have no clue how skilled he is with it, so we cannot really state anything there. He also seems to be able to cause flowers to die out, but this ability is also an enigma. Recently, we have also seen that he is able to transform into a gigantic beast-like humanoid creature that is able to consume fire; in this form, he also has a sharp-pointed tentacle-like thing with which he injured Sabo.
The source of this power is unknown, so while he could injure Sabo, we don’t know if he would defeat him in battle. We assume that more of his powers will be revealed later in the series.
It is impossible to determine who would win in this fight
As we have said, it is not possible to determine the winner of this duel. We do know a lot of Sabo’s powers, and we know, from what he has done in the series and from the comments made by the World Government, that he has become a threat to them, which means that he has become a very powerful character and someone who can cause problems for the villains; being labeled as a threat by the World Government is always a good reference in terms of your powers and your reputation in the series.
On the other hand, Imu is a complete enigma. Sure, he holds enormous political power, and he has control over Vegapunk’s powerful weapon, but that wouldn’t be of much use in a direct clash. We have no idea how skilled he is with his saber, and while his transformation into the strange monster does seem powerful, it remains to be seen whether it is just a powerhouse transformation or a true monster. We know that the beast can consume fire, which could be an advantage against Sabo, but we simply don’t have enough to go on.
That is why we have to put this one down as a TBD, as we assume that more of Imu’s abilities will be revealed later in the series.
