Mahito is a major villain in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga and anime. An important member of Pseudo-Geto’s team of villains, Mahito caused trouble for the Jujutsu Sorcerers and is infamously known for causing the death of Nanami, which is why many fans hate him. He later fought Yuji, Nobara, and Aoi Todo, seemingly killing Nobara and almost killing Yuji in the process. However, during the infamous Shibuya Incident, Mahito was absorbed by Kenjaku via Geto’s original technique. Now, we know that Geto can use the techniques of the curses he absorbed, so the question that we ask ourselves is – can Kenjaku also use them? In this article, you’re going to find out whether Kenjaku can use Idle Transformation.

  • Article Breakdown:
  • After Mahito’s loss to Yuji Itadori, Pseudo-Geto (Kenjaku) arrived to stop Yuji from killing Mahito, but only because he wanted to absorb Mahito using Geto’s original technique.
  • Geto’s Cursed Spirit Manipulation allowed him to absorb cursed spirits and then to use their powers later as he wished, so Kenjaku wanted to take advantage of that.
  • And while Kenjaku was able to use the ability Mahito had, it seems that he was only able to use it one time and as part of his Maximum: Uzumaki technique.

Kenjaku absorbed Mahito to preserve his ability

This article’s narrative actually started when Mahito killed Nanami in front of Yuji. After that, Yuji and the cursed spirit fought fiercely, with no clear winner. Nobara was able to cause significant damage to Mahito’s clone while they were battling, which also struck a chord with the original body. After that, Mahito made the decision to join forces with his clone, but not before he tricked Yuji into not stopping him from touching Nobara’s face, giving the impression that she had been killed. At that point, Yuji was totally broken, and Aoi Todo intervened just as Mahito was ready to kill him. The two “brothers” battled the cursed ghost when Yuji regained his combat spirit.

Like the previous battle, it was a hard fight with no obvious winner, although Mahito appeared to be cornered. He attempted to distract Todo so that he would withdraw from the fight, but Todo soon defeated Mahito’s creations and returned to the fight. Once again cornered, Mahito decides to use the all-or-nothing, 0.2-second Domain Expansion move he learned from Gojo. He succeeded in getting near Aoi and chopping off his hand, but in the end, Todo was able to use his Boogie Woogie one last time, giving Yuji the advantage. Even after discovering the actual nature of his soul, Mahito was unable to prevail; Yuji defeated him and was ready to kill him when a strange occurrence occurred.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Here’s Why Mahito Attacked Geto!

Moments before Yuji was about to kill him, Kenjaku, also known as Pseudo-Geto, appeared and pledged to help Mahito. When Mahito realized what Kenjaku was going to do, he tried to kill him but failed, so Kenjaku used Geto’s original Cursed Spirit Manipulation technique to transform him into an orb, which he then consumed. And from Mahito’s perspective, this was it.

Kenjaku was able to use Idle Transfiguration, but only once – as it seems

We have now explained to you how Kenjaku came into possession of both Mahito and his powers, but was he able to use them? Well, this is a completely different matter, and it demands further explanation, actually, as the answer – although relatively straightforward – has some tweaks and details that need to be elaborated on before we properly conclude this article, so that is exactly what we are going to do for you here.

Now, we do know that Geto, the original user of the Cursed Spirit Manipulation technique, was able to use the curses he had collected in fights, taking advantage of their powers and abilities. Since Mahito was a cursed spirit and was absorbed by Pseudo-Geto using Geto’s ability, on a theoretical level, Pseudo-Gedo was able to actually use Mahito’s abilities in battle; Geto himself would’ve been able to do it, so there is no reason to think that Pseudo-Geto couldn’t have done it. But there is a catch.

Namely, Pseudo-Geto did, indeed, use Mahito’s abilities in Shibuya, but only via his Maximum: Uzumaki technique, and it was explained in the series that it was a one-time thing for him. Using Mahito’s power, he was able to extract the specific technique from Maximum: Uzumaki, which enabled him to use it individually, but it was a one-time thing, and since Kusakabe’s intervention annulled Maximum: Uzumaki, Mahito’s Idle Transfiguration was left unused by Pseudo-Geto, but by all means – he was actually able to do it in the series.
