Charlie Cox on Having Foggy & Karen Back on the Set of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’: “Foggy and Karen Are Kind of the Heartbeat of Our Show”

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ has faced significant challenges during its development, generating anticipation among fans. Initially, insiders suggested the show would be quite different, with some even deeming it dull. Fans were disappointed to learn that Elden Henson’s Foggy and Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen wouldn’t return for the “reboot,” sparking outcry on social media.

However, there have since been creative changes announced for ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ including a reduction in episode count and a new premise, with the return of beloved characters. Following the resolution of the SAG-AFTRA strike, leaked set photos on social media confirmed Karen and Foggy’s return.

At AwesomeCon in Washington, D.C., Charlie Cox shared his candid thoughts on the story’s evolution.

Aw it’s so cool, man. So cool. Yeah, it was pretty heartbreaking when they weren’t around initially. When we came back to filming and they had made some changes, which you guys obviously probably read about and stuff, you know, it was clear that Foggy and Karen are kind of the heartbeat of our show. They always were. So [it feels] really special to have them back. Huge shout out to Deborah and to Elden. I know there’s been photos, there were some set photos that came out, so I know I can talk about it because it’s on the internet. But it was really sweet to have some scenes together again.

Fans were thrilled to see both Foggy and Karen on set, sparking a wave of positive reactions. Initially, there were plans for both characters to die between Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ Season 3 and ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ but these were evidently abandoned.
